Thanks for the welcome, especially from old friends! F0rd0, I may still have those pix, I kept everything from the feral days. I think. Probably.
As for what got me kicked out of Sunday School: I had spent the summer building a boat with my grandfather. Old school carpentry. He kept telling me "If you screw up one thing, you'll find out about it when you're well out into the lake." I knew that six guys without power tools would never have finished that megacanoe in six months. So I asked them how they did it. I also asked them if the koalas had walked from Australia and then walked back. And how the big cats ate for all that time. I got a note to take home to Mom.

G'day Gawdzilla, and welcome from Adelaide South Australia,City of Churches and bizarre murder capital of my great nation.
I'm one of the resident old crunts. (I'm 63)
Age 7? Pretty unusual. I was brought up rabid Bog-Irish-Catholic. Took me 20 years to get away from that. Sadly ,I remain a cultural Catholic, with a vestigal Catholic conscience, which is often irritating and at times downright inconvenient.

I have friends in Oz, from Perth to less civilized places like Sydney.
I guess I was lucky in that my parents were not much interested in religion when I was a kid. Mom never asked me if I want to go back to church, it was a dead issue. My g-grandfather come over from Eire after leaving home rather quickly one night, with wife in tow. I assume someone was looking for him. (Protestant, and I don't know their real last names, that got changed while in line at Ellis Island.)

I was in Perth twice in the Navy. (Well, the ship was in Fremantle. )
As for "now what", that's obvious, we do the badger dance.

I got kicked out of Sunday School at age 7 for asking questions about the Ark the preacher couldn't answer. Never went back. I've never been religious, which puts me at a slight disadvantage when it comes to talking to fundies as I have no idea where they come up with that shit.
I grew up in Indiana ("grew up" technically, anyway.) Joined the USN 14 hours after graduation. I then went off to kill people for $247/month. I did 20 in the Navy, then went to Purdue and eventually got my MA in History. (If you don't run quick enough I'll drive you to suicide talking about Pearl Harbor.)
I'm married to an ex-admin at RDF, "Sciwoman" was her handle there.
I have no time for "back of the bus, sit quietly" atheism. If you have no stomach for the fight don't bother telling me I shouldn't either.
Welcome to the forums,
May I ask what happended to the RDF forums anyway?

Sordid tale of malfeasance and embezzlement. Dawkins is suing his webmaster, Josh Timonen. Evidently there are hundreds of thousands of dollars missing from the site's store sales. That's about all I know.

Well you have a personality and a half ^_^ Welcome to the forum O' Mighty Gawd of Lizzards. We are humbled.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
