Sure, it's not people with a different "point of view" (or more succinctly a "different conclusion") that irritate me, it is people who fail to be clear, concise and consistent in their thinking.

To broaden the question, is it not possible for you to be ok with what someone says (ie not become irtae), even if you strongly disagree with it, and even if they aren't clear, concise and consistent?

for me yes...IF the person in question is concise and clear and consistent...unfortunately they seldom are...

No I meant if you hear it just the once.

The point is that you never do hear it "just the once"...

What do they say?

Can you rephrase that? I'm not clear on your question.

Ok, let's say that I'm a theist and I'm making some points to you. You strongly disagree with what I'm telling you, and you find my explanations unclear, inconcise and inconsistent. What I'm asking you is, and to rephrase, and if you don't mind me being blunt, in that situation are you not capable of remaining un-irate (ie calm, not bothered), despite strongly disagreeing, and finding me unclear, inconsistent and inconcise? It's a question about you rather tyhan anything else.

Sure I can remain calm, it's rare to get really irritated - What I was saying is that I can't recall a case where I was frustrated with someone based on pure disagreement, but cases where someone is using a clearly flawed argument or redefining language to save face, that can get pretty frustrating.
