I'm a social klutz so I usually don't touch dark humor with a ten foot pole unless it's with people I know well.

I used to be scuba instructor and also a licensed boat captain. Once, I ran a trip to the Christ of the Abyss underwater statue in Key Largo, Florida with a funeral party. They were going to dump someone's cremated remains there. It's a very popular snorkeling site so before we left, I asked if anyone would be snorkeling. The leader smiled wickedly, gestured with the box of ashes and said, "Just Bob, but he won't be needing any gear." It's almost impossible (at least for me) to guess whether someone will find something like that funny or disrespectful.

“Also, how can you POSSIBLY paint the US-Iraq war as a success??”

- I only mentioned the military operations. The US took the country without any real ground compact within days if I am not wrong.

But I think I know what you mean by “success”. And you cannot have “success” just because you want it. First you need to not destroy other countries completely.

If it is Iraq, Saddam never coming to power might have been a success. In Afghanistan, The Red Army never intervening in that country would have been a success. In Iran a decision by Reza Shah Pahlavi in 1925 to not become a monarch and let Iran be a republic would have been a success.

For us, a better and stronger international world order could be a good thing. And I am not an expert but right now:

- Look at how Iran is fighting the US back (even in its current situation). These guys have the knowledge and mean to build an A-bomb. They may have already built a dirty bomb with these completely unchecked 80% enriched Uranium.

A good success would be (for instance) Putin stepping in and accepting to store all of the Iranian Uranium until some sort of treaty with the Americans is signed.

So we are not there yet. But I still believe in solutions. I think there can be some sort of solution here.

Ivan Denisovich:

- We don’t know that. My country has never been in war like Israel has been in war. But when there is a threat to people’s lives, many people react with fear and seek strong leaders. So yes, Netanyahu is starting wars everywhere. But in Lebanon you have entire streets packed with the pictures of Hezbollah / Hamas fighters or leaders. So when there is no Lebanese state to prevent this, Israel as a sovereign nation reserves the right to go there and do the whole job itself.

I’m not saying it’s not messed up. I’M only saying that this is what is happening. Smile

Most intelligence indicates that Iran doesn't currently have the means to build a nuclear weapon.

If they had the capacities they had before the war in July they would need weeks perhaps more than a month to build and A-bomb. After that, they cannot really do that anymore. Unless they have some super-secret Uranium enrichment area that nobody knows of.

But there is something called a dirty bomb. They could pack radioactive material in one of these missiles and spread it over farmlands or Israeli cities. But everyone says this is unlikely:

- But on this issue I will want to join the more right-wing minded people in general: This is regime that kills 30,000 of its own people in just two days and sells their corpses to their families in return for 5000 $ (a small fortune in a place like Iran).

/ Besides: no one is mentioning the responsibility of the IRI. Households don’t even have water in Teheran and all that they care about is using the A-bomb to negotiate this or that treaty with the West.

Do you think for one moment that this has anything to do with the war?

Trump did not launch this war out of concern for the Iranian on the street. He doesn't give a fuck about them.

No doubt about that at all. He doesn't give a flying fuck about anybody unless their interests align with his. Anyone who believes otherwise is a damn fool.

What we don't know? As of 2013, the State of israel had been condemned in 45 resolutions by the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). Currently israel is ignoring UN resolution ordering it to end unlawful occupation of Palestine territory. netanyahu have arrest warrant issued by International Court of Justice in regard to his war crimes and crimes against humanity and per UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

So what exactly we don't fucking know? issrael have no fucking right to do anything it fucking does. It's nothing more than rogue state but crime apologists like you refuse to see it. I wonder if you would sing the same song about good israel if it would be bombing your country?

Remember how Pentagon Pete has his knickers in a perpetual twist when service members were reminded that they are required to disobey unlawful orders? Well, he just issued one.
