RIP Thumpalumpacus
It has been verified that Thumpalumpacus lost his life a little over a month ago.  We don't have many details and only know that he was posting one day and gone the next.  I have been tracking info for a while now after not hearing from him after sending a message.

He was a wonderful contributor to this forum and will be missed.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Oh fuck! What a bummer! He was one of my favorites here. I felt a bit of comradery there as we were both US Air Force veterans.

Damn!
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I feel as though there was never much of a connection between us, but his presence will be missed nonetheless.

Boooooo
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's horrible. I'm at a loss of words. Condolences to his family.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

RE: RIP Thumpalumpacus
I've looked on another forum where he was active and this is what his son says happened:

Quote:From what I understand, he fell and hit his head on a table. I wish I could say more but I'm stationed somewhat far away and have been coordinating this stuff over the phone. The investigators said it looked accidental.

We'd sit on the porch, crack beers, and talk about WW2 history, including the technology, for hours. I didn't really know how popular he was here until he sent me a thread he posted regarding his museum trips; coming back across that thread, I figured I should post something. I know I always saw him watching Drachinifel and a couple other dudes of the same caliber on his laptop though.

Anyways, thanks. Didn't want yall to think he was ditching ya. I know he had a couple of buddies on here (don't know who their names are tbh), I'll post any serious updates if they come up.

He's about to be spread around up in grand prairie. Was always philosophical about having the flora and fauna eat him after he died and all that stuff so

I found out about this some time ago but didn't want to post anything until it was confirmed. It has hit me harder than I thought it would.

In the past he spoke about having chronic pain related to his hip, and related depression, so at least that suffering is now at an end for him.  Rest in peace, Thumpalumpacus... we'll miss you.

We can be forever grateful that he granted us some of his time to be with us.

Peace. 🌹
