I was being facetious. There are many conspiracy theorists, mainly the birthers, who think that Obama is a secret Muslim who loves Muslim terrorists (after all, his name is close to "Osama"). So, as part of the conspiracy theory, if Obama is a Muslim who secretly approves of what the terrorists are doing, why would he go after the head of the group?

Why not ask the christians? Their very symbol of divine revelation is an instrument of torture so punishing that the word excruciating had to be invented to accommodate the expansion of the concept. They have been very skilled throughout history in imagining and implementing horrendously torturous death in the name of the prince of peace, taking almost erotic delight in the exercise.

Fire fights, I am sure, can get pretty messy and emotionional. If I ran into the room with an M16 and saw Bin Laden standing in front of me I would have done what I was trained to do. Aim at the lower part of the torso, and pull the trigger until the gun recoiled all the way up to his head to ensure his death.

What better feeling than to be an American that can actually think to himself "I personally killed Bin Laden"?

Of course this is anti-climactic for everyone else, but I can understand the reality of the situation...especially if you were personally harmed by this man with the death of a loved one. Luckily, I didnt have anyone close to me die during 9/11. I also remember seeing footage of my fellow union brothers (Iron workers local in this situation) run in to rescue people since they already had so much construction safety equipment on already. They ran in, and 10 minutes later the building colapsed on them. I dont know how many they saved, or who made it out or not, but I cried hard that day. I was on my way up to work in Boston on that day, and I was planning on stopping in New York to say "hi" to the guys in the electrical union on the way. I was stuck in Connecticut because the Jersey Turnpike was closed for the entire day. I remember setting in the bar of the motel, feeling helpless, worthless, and trapped because I couldnt go forwards or backwards the entire day. I called New Yorks local and offered my services for free, they told me not to even try as the entire area is secured and they will not let me in. But that feeling was NOTHING compared to those who lost much, much more.
