The point of a machete is to hack away at something, wether it be jungle vegitation or a human neck.

A machete doesn't have enough metal behind it to be a particularly effective weapon. It's lightweight design allows one to swish back and forth without any particular resistance... it is so much a weapon as a wrench.

You obviously have zero experience with out of control crazy people, I used to work in a hospital with a psychiatric unit. every so often one would go bat shit crazy. Once one of them took apart a small car with his bare hands tearing off the doors and ripping the seats out.

And yet I have been an out of control crazy person plenty often enough to get me suspended and even expelled pending an investigation into my psyche to be reintroduced

Or I suppose that is what one gets for having the control to stop before one actually hurts someone
