Ooooh, how shallow! I don't trust anyone who thinks vanity is good Big Grin (But I do agree, a little bit at least, but that is not the worst beard I've seen.. I still have nightmares about the most horrific facial hair I've come across XD)

I never said I wasnt shallowBig Grin

Its vainer to strategically shave than to whip the whole lot off. Some thought went into that look and that thought was 'lets look like a zealot'.

Have you noticed, zealots of any stripe seem to favour the 'beard no moustache' look

Indeed. He does 'look' like a religious zealot to me. But that's all.

Personally, I prefer shaving my beard to the Marcus Cole look:
