New track from ALIASES' debut album "Safer than reality".

They call it "Tech Metal", it's interesting stuff but I'm not sure I'm sold on it yet.

Cover songs are better when "metalized" too. Smile

Nevermore's Sound Of Silence is one of my all time favorite covers. I hadn't realized how scary that song was until I heard it that way. Heh!

Or metal songs re-metaled - Not a massive CoF fan anylonger (though I was when i was 14-15) but this cover of Maiden is awesome:

That band would be great if they didn't have a banshee for a lead vocalist (notice I didn't say 'singer').

Yeah that CoF version is a pretty good one, even though I still prefer the Maiden one. Iced Earth has a decent cover of it as well. CoF is kind of like Emperor for me, I just can't get into them because their production is just not there.

Iced Earth might be my favorite metal band of all time. Here are a couple metal covers I like, since that's what we're doing.

Emperor are so much better though. the album Prometheus has some damn good production

This song seems to be about black holes by the way.

... and as if awaken from eternal sleep
he sought a mentor

for he no longer knew his position

"It is time after miracles
and I am its prophet
I have not come to cure
but to bear witness decease"

"It is the place where blood and soil
lie beyond the boundaries of the sun
and I am its prophet
I cast the shadow
I absorb the light"

"I am the prophet
I bear witness
I absorb
I cry"

"As I die
I shall burst wide open
As I die
I shall release the apocalypse
my prophecy
Thus, I hold on to faith
Thus, I keep the hope
That it will prosper
and devour"

"It is time after miracles
and I am its prophet
I have not come to cure
but to bear witness decease"
