Not only can I barely understand you, but I don't buy your "we didn't mean to steal" argument for one second. You came here, thought we had a nice forum look (because we do), and proceeding to copy it, piece by piece, without our permission. If you'd asked our permission, we would certainly have talked about it, and who knows, maybe we would have felt like helping a fellow atheist forum start up.

However, you didn't even bother to contact us; you simply sent me a PM directing me to this thread, wherein I saw what was essentially a blatant rip-off of our site, right down to some individual graphics (which you've since simply changed the colour of rather than making your own).

This site is the result of the combined efforts of a number of dedicated people for almost 3 years now. I'm not about to share our stuff with you if you don't even have the decency to ask us before you take it. I can't stop you taking it, since none of it is copyrighted (the graphics anyway), but what I can do is refuse point-blank to help you on any of the internal stuff.

That said, if you want to get into my good books again, I'd ask you to change the theme (at least the colours...) and create your own graphics. I'd also like an actual apology, and an admission of wrongdoing. Like I said, I don't buy your current excuse; I believe you knew exactly what you were doing, and I believe you knew it was wrong too. Only then will I actually consider helping your cause. Let's see if you can man up and do that shall wel?

I can't say that I blame Tiberius for refusing to give you the code. I find my work on other websites word for word anytime I bother to do a specific search for them. Just because this is the internet and it is easy does not mean you should just take whatever is there instead of creating something of your own. In my case, it is actionable, but unfortunately, as Tiberius says, he can't stop you or anyone else. Therefore, what you are doing is not illegal, but it is lazy. I commend you for making an atheist site for people to hang out in (presumably), but I think that you should have just become an active member of this site if you liked it so much. If you are building a site, don't you want it to be different?

I said "at least the colours". I said before, I don't mind you using the theme you are, how could I, but the point of making a website is adding some individuality to it. Instead of looking at ours and saying "Hey, that theme looks good, I'll go and steal it.", why not say "Hey, that theme looks good, I'll go and improve it."

I probably wouldn't have minded if you'd used our icons on a completely different theme, but the fact that your site looked identical to ours apart from the logo is what is making me annoyed.
