Would you go to church just to prove it won't change anything about you?
August 9, 2011 at 2:57 am
I'm arguing with some people, after their threats of violence they want me to go to church to see what happens. Should I really waste 2 hours of my time to prove something wrong? Well Sae did eat a raw fish eye...?
Religion is like a Penis, you shouldn't whip it out in public and you shouldn't shove it down your child's throat.

I will never step into church again if I don't have to. I have already proven that going every Sunday until I was 15 didn't have any effect on me.
I would rather eat a fish eye.

I'm sitting here still arguing, after the threat of getting a foot shoved up my "closeminded" ass it kind of dumb of them to want me to go to church :p
I said the same thing about church, but their excuse is that it wasn't the right church. I forgot that if you don't have the right amount of lighting in your church it could drastically mess up your thinking and feeling god. Because you have to feel the priest touch you inappropriately not see him just do it?

Who ARE these morons? Do NOT argue with them*; just say "Go thou forth and multiply" (or words to that effect).
Don't care what Sae did. Anyone who does anything on a dare or to prove they are not chicken,is a fuckwit and richly deserves whatever happen to them. Last time I did ANYTHING for either reason, was in 1957. I was 10. I injured myself. Immediately thought "Well, THAT was stupid-and I don't even like the kid who dared me.Won't do anything like that again" .
Anyone other than a blood relative makes a serious threat against me gets reported and charged with 'making unlawful threats'. Good for at least $500 fine and 6 month good behaviour bond.If the magistrate is in a bad mood,90 days in the clink.

NOTE THAT I'M BEN LAMB ON THE CONVERSATION
Austin Perkins: he left questions for the answers are found in him thus those who want answers are drawn to christ
2 hours ago •
•
Megan Wilson: JESUS LOVES YOU DAKOTA !
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: HE DOES DAKOTA! IT'S TRUE. LOVELOVELOVE. ♥
2 hours ago •
•
Ben Lamb: Well how does it feel that all the answers contain circular thinking? Not the answers you should be looking for.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Well I don't actually understand what he asked. But God gave us free will, so that's why there is bad stuff. Also Satan makes us doubt The Lord. Satan drives us to sinning, cause ya know he's bad. If you pray God will answer you eventually. (:
Megan Wilson: PREACH IT SISTER K !
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: OH YEE I'M GETTIN MY PREACH ON!
Ben Lamb: Can we please have a intelligent discussion over this without the use of circular thinking?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Wut i'm not circular thinking!
Megan Wilson: English boy , English.
•
Ben Lamb: Yes I believe you are. All you are responding with is the GODIDITVERSION.
Dakota Broughton: This was supposed to be a serious discussion.
Ben Lamb: Damnit dakota, give me time to come up with a response. But could you state it a bit more clearer?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I don't really understand what you mean by that. Elaborate? I'm telling you what I believe to be true. Not what people make me believe.
•
Dakota Broughton: State what more clear?
•
Ben Lamb: God never left any answered questions, only unanswered. Mostly because jesus is a control freak, a hypocritical one too. God sacrificed himself to get around a rule he made up and then sends 90% of the population into a place of fiery torture.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I don't really know what to say to that, not because you've won, but because that just didn't make much sense. Jesus loves you though, even if you doubt Him, young Benjamin. (:
Dakota Broughton: I wish there was a way I could speak to them myself. We'd have a long talk. I just dont understand WHY.
Dakota Broughton: What Ben said made since. Admit it, God did leave us to question.
Ben Lamb: Difference, I don't doubt him. I don't believe in him. Jesus is one of the most disgusting hypocritical gods that anyone has ever made up. Let's strip every body of their individuality and make them feel worthless, and to add onto that let everybody else make them feel worthless. This so called 'God' has committed more crimes than anyone and if anyone should be sent to 'hell' it should be god himself. Jesus loves you but he sends you to hell to burn for all eternity.
Ben Lamb: Makes sense.
Megan Wilson: Faith my loung lad.
•
Ben Lamb: Yea faith. Based on spiritual apprehension other than evidence. Sounds
faith is the way to me. Who needs evidence when you got FAITH!
•
Ben Lamb: Lets not forget all the crimes he gets his followers to do for him. This should be fun
about an hour ago •
Dakota Broughton: It does.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Well i'm not saying he didn't leave unanswered questions. But that's why you ask Him I guess. Honestly, I don't know much about religion. I'm 14, & I really don't go to church much. I know what I feel. & I feel God in my heart. He sends people to hell, yes. But only people who had the chance to except him & didn't. Can you see the wind? You can only feel it & see it's effects. But you believe in it. I see God's effects, & I feel Him. I believe in Him. Not all His followers are good. They aren't real Christians. Westborrow (I dunno how to spell it) baptist church isn't a real Christian church. They do bad. He never says to be mean to people, no matter what they do. You love thy neighbor. I don't know if i'm making sense, sorry if I don't. Ha.
Ben Lamb: God supposedly tells people to kill in the name of God (himself). We can't forget the spanish inquisition can we, Ohhhh we can't also forget about the prejudices that god has made against his non believers. You know what i'm not going to throw out every single slaughter mass genocide that god has created. lets just take a look on how many people he killed in the bible.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: No He doesn't. Killing is SIN. Whoever says He told them to kill is lying. He didn't kill them. People did. Free will, darling.
Dakota Broughton: Keep this civil. We all believe differently here.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I'm civil. (:
Dakota Broughton: Good.
Ben Lamb: Okay kayla, so it sounds
to me you haven't even read the whole bible but you believe in it? I'm 15 and i turned 15 one month ago, and I was still atheist. The thing that the bible teaches is "don't ask questions...just believe" He has as much credibility as zeus, another folk lore that will be next generations literature. Well look at west boro, ive been hating on them for a long time. But they follow the word of "god" or maybe just misinterpreted it just
everybody has with the bible. Obviously someone needs to go read the bible and actually question it and maybe you could come up with better answers to the question. How come you can't form your own opinion without the use of the bible. Do you really believe that the world is 6000 years old? Or you just follow the Goddidit version of life. All things that can't be explained can be explained with the bible? So I guess we are all going to hell since there are so many religions, with different gods out there.
Dakota Broughton: How do I like your post Ben? Haha Im on my phone.. Lol
about an hour ago •
Ben Lamb: Lets not forget how uncivilized God is. He has a prejudice on people that don't believe in him, he is racist, and he hates gays!
Here is a psalm out of the bible about non believers :
Ben Lamb: So far I've seen killings in the name of god, along with mass genocides such as the spanish inquisition. lets not forget the bible helped hitler form his prejudice against the jews and then began creating concentration camps to kill those filthy jews!
Ben Lamb: But lets look how atheists prove Psalm 14:1
about an hour ago •
Dakota Broughton: True.
Ben Lamb: lol you press that + botton.
Dakota Broughton: But does God agree with the actual murders?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I've read most of it. They're all just crazy, honestly. They are being lead by the Devil. I do have my own opinions, that go against the bible, & people criticize me for it. I cuss, ALOT. & I think God created gays & they shouldn't go to hell. You really don't know me. All these bad things you're saying people did because of God, it was actually the Devil. They just think it was God. They take things too far & misinterpret the word. Also I think that ALOT of religions believe in the same God, but have different names. You are very well informed though, & you have good points. I applaud you for not being another ignorant athiest who only says they're athiest cause it's cool.
Ben Lamb: So far Atheists have done more things than christians have to improve our life and the life of others. We help understand the world. While you all were praying to god to cure a disease, we were working to find a cure for it or treat it.
Ben Lamb: Could any of you take a scientific approach to why god exists?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I don't think it's scientific, but go ahead. I'll listen.
Megan Wilson: I sorta had questions
this too before I started going to church. I always thought you were goin to hell if you didn't go to church. But untill I started going to church for me , because I wanted to go and get saved changed my life forever. After I got saved I KNEW there was a god. There were no more questions. After I felt the holy spirit I just knew. I know it's had to understand.
Megan Wilson: *hard
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Exactly. I'd love to bring you to church sometime Ben, it could be a learning experience for you. (:
Megan Wilson: Yes. Come to church !
Ben Lamb: Bull shit! That pisses me off when people commit crimes and blame it on some supernatural earth daddy that told them to do it. Can you prove that the devil exists other than reading it in a book that lead to millions of murders? Ohhh wait that was the devil. How about people take some credibility for there actions and stop using god as an excuse? Fact is, the bible and god have causes more problems as opposed to doing good. You believe that alot of religions believe in God but just a different name? Funniest thing I've ever heard. And to respond to Megan: Obviously all you had was questions and would believe any answer you were told whether it had some credibility behind it or not. What were you saving yourself from? From actually thinking instead of blindly following whatever sounded good to YOU. Most people go to church to get saved, its the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. They can't accept the consequences of their actions so they think they are going to hell. But to keep them from going to hell they have to beg to god for it. Obviously the bible got shoved up your ass because to me, thats all the answers you use.
Jonathon Ryan most scientist believe in a religion thats what drives most of them to do things does it matter know it doesnt conversations
this are pointless they cant prove who is right and who is wrong but one day we all have to meet are maker and maybe you where the one that did as he asked and he doesnt want you to war over things just be a good person
about an hour ago •
Dakota Broughton: Its not pointless, Jonathan.. It raises questions and new ideas. Facebook asked me wjat was on my
Mind.
about an hour ago • Un
•
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I'm not saying what they do is justified by the fact that the Devil makes them want to, that doesn't make it okay. You're right. It does cause alot of problems, & I can't explain that. But it also does good. The concept of God SAVES people. From drugs, from very bad things. Hell, He changed me. I can't explain everything Ben. But I can tell there is nothing I can say that will change your mind.
Dakota Broughton: What*
Megan Wilson: God and the bible has done many things. Save lives.
Ben Lamb: No religion does the exact opposite, it keeps people from understanding the world. If they don't understand it they use god to fill the gap. How did the world get created? well it seems
god must have did it, case closed? No, scientist don't believe in bullshit
that. God keeps people from understanding the world at its best whilst atheism gets people to understand the world and what's going on around them. People say the world was created by god, and yet they don't prove it. They use the GODDIDIT version to cover up their misunderstanding of the universe. Simple.
Jonathon Ryan well what are you all going to do on armaggedin when jesus comes back
about an hour ago •
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: You are making REALLY good points, that I can't reply too. I have nothing to say. I just know what I feel & what I believe. I've seen too much for you to change my mind. I've seen people pass out & speak tounges. I've felt God in me. I get chills during church when it's 100 degrees. I'm just going on what I feel. You might think it's foolish, but I don't. I'd really
you to go to church with us sometime. You probably don't wanna, but think of it as an experiment.
Ben Lamb: Touche kayla. Most people think god stopped them from abusing drugs, well maybe they actually gained their common sense back and stopped doing what other people tell them. Why don't they take any credibility for what they have accomplished without shoving up gods ass? Megan the bible has Metaphorically "saved" lives. It hasn't physically saved lives, all it has done is convinced you that you can do anything and still go to heaven, if thats what you consider saving. But on the other hand he sends people to hell, how is that good?
Ben Lamb: Well jonathon 2011 years of any day now?
Jonathon Ryan what
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: You are very smart. I'm suprised.
Dakota Broughton: What I dont get is that if people are born into a different religion and are a strong believer in wjwt they believe, do they just burn with the real sinners?
Ben Lamb: Why would god have any vanity on a atheist that hasn't done anything wrong except not believe. If he is so obsessed that he needs everybody to believe in him he would at least throw down some evidence to his existence. Would god rather have a christian that believes in god but he killed millions of innocent people, or would he have an atheist that hasn't done anything wrong but contradict what the bible said in Psalm 14:1 but that would just ruin his prejudice image knowing that atheist aren't vile evil people with intentions to do no good.
Megan Wilson: All I have to say is Jesus loves you whether you
it or not. Even if you don't believe he STILL loves you. He died for your sins. He also died for the rapist and the murderers. Even though they have done wrong he STILL loves them.
Jonathon Ryan thats what armgaddon is
Dakota Broughton: What*
Ben Lamb: Referring to Jonathon: People have said that god is coming back and Armageddon and shit for over 2000 years. Any day now? Or are you all just stalling yourself from the truth that he isn't real and isn't coming back to save you all.
Jonathon Ryan so doing those times people have a chance to renouse before the seven year war with the anti christ
56 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: Well then Jesus's love is something I don't want to have. He is again a insane control freak with over 100 prejudices just
the person that imagined his ass up.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: He wants people to believe in Him because of faith. Not because someone has a piece of paper to prove He is real.
Ben Lamb: If god loved us then he would accept us for who we are, so he hates gays and sends them to hell for doing something they enjoy and bring them happiness but he loves you at the same time. Obviously you got the wrong definition of love.
Jonathon Ryan i feel that it is close will all the sin in the world now and the athiest i feel it is really close
54 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: Exactly when will armeggedon come?
Jonathon Ryan soon im sure
Ben Lamb: Sure
the last person to predict the end of the world, it was all over facebook so you should know what I'm talking about.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: He doesn't hate gays. He hates NO ONE. Also, you don't know when the end of the world is coming Jonathan so just hush.
Dakota Broughton: God said no man knows the day or year but he will not leave us clueless.
Jonathon Ryan well i think something will happen on 2012 end of the world maybe but are sun and the center of are galxy will aline
52 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: They want us to believe in something so absurd to change our daily life style and our way of free thinking so we don't end up being tortured. It's not about god it's all about yourself if you haven't noticed. You don't want to go to hell, ergo you believe in god.
Ben Lamb: What can be admitted with no proof can be dismissed with no proof, same with god.
Jonathon Ryan with venus
Jonathon Ryan honestly this conversation is pointless because none of us really know
50 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: How about this, you all will be too busy with shoving the 3rd bible up your ass waiting for doomsday when everyone else that has the common sense not to believe in that shit will be partying. Once god doesn't come you all will make up another excuse and date for when it is going to happen.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I don't believe in Him just because I don't wanna go to hell.
Ben Lamb: Then why?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: At first when I was little, that was why. But now, I know He's real. I've felt him. I just wish you would go to church with us. I can't explain the feelings we get.
Ben Lamb: Referring back to you seeing someone speak in tongue. Don't you know that those people are payed to do this shit? That's
an exorcism, it doesn't do shit. You all just choose to believe in it. Please look up all the exorcism scandels that have took place.
Jonathon Ryan ok first off if he doesnt come to dooms day thats good thing second dont tell me to stick any thing in my ass be for i ram my foot up yours
48 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: I've went to church before and it never changed me. The feelings you all get I can't explain nor can you.
Megan Wilson: They also said the world was gonna end a long time ago. But no one REALLY knows when the end of the world will be except god.
Dakota Broughton: I said CIVIL.
Ben Lamb: Also Ryan, that just proves the violence that religion causes. No one was trying to be mean, I never said shove a bible up your ass
47 minutes ago •
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: No no. I've seen kids do it. My friends have spoke in tounges. Well I think you need to go to Megans penocostal church. I use to doubt Him, until I went there. It's different than other churches.
Megan Wilson: Have you been to a Pentecostal church before ?
Dakota Broughton: I love that sarcastic smile ;D
46 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: The world is going to end and it can happen any day, science has proved that. So thats something we already know, but using god to explain it wont help
46 minutes ago •
Jonathon Ryan yeah but something will happen on 2012 december 21 not saying we will die but are sun and galaxy center will a line together and for something called a galactic eclipse
45 minutes ago •
Dakota Broughton: Ive seen it too.
Ben Lamb: Well turn off the Sci Fi channel because the world isn't going to end in 2012 lol text me dakota.
Dakota Broughton: Speaking at the penacostal
44 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: No church will change the way I think about the world, for one I'd rather keep my sanity and way of thinking logically.
Ben Lamb: You all say the big bang never happened but you all say God was just there?
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Dakota & Ben, go to church with us. Please. (:
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: You don't know that! Don't be cynical.
Jonathon Ryan i believe in the big bang
Megan Wilson: Your defiantly not payed to do that. I thought when people fell over it was just fake. Then I did it and I understand it's not fake.
Ben Lamb: Why can't you just preach the shit they do there, over here on facebook? I don't need some old guy trying to molest me while preaching the word of god to come to the conclusion that god doesn't exist.
Ben Lamb: It's fake Megan
the boogy monster and santa clause.
Jonathon Ryan lol that was kinda funny
Ben Lamb: :/
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Hahah. Because I can't preach! Just do it. You never know what could happen. No one will molest you or even touch you, I swear.
Jonathon Ryan any way none of us can explain well im tired im going to bed
41 minutes ago •
Dakota Broughton: Cough-Catholic-Cough
Jonathon Ryan night every one
Ben Lamb: If you believe in the big bang then that contradicts what 'god' says, and you know how god gets when he doesn't get his way. He kills your first born
41 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: You want god to touch my so called "heart". So yea thats touching me.
Megan Wilson: YOUVE NEVER FELT IT !
Jonathon Ryan well i beleive he did it as a big plan in creating the big bang and eviloution
40 minutes ago •
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I love you Ben. I also love Dakota & Megan & that random blue boy who keeps commenting pointless things. (:
•
Megan Wilson: YOU CAN'T PASSOUT OVER FACEBOOK !
Ben Lamb: Do you have brief knowledge over evolution or the big bang
40 minutes ago •
Dakota Broughton: True, Ben. You cant say its not real if you havent experienced both worlds.
Ben Lamb: but it can pass over words. The only difference is that its typed out.
Jonathon Ryan i have a good knowledge over both yeah
39 minutes ago •
Ben Lamb: The nebular theory?
Jonathon Ryan yeah
Megan Wilson: Poor blue boy..
•
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: But you can't feel God over the computer. We don't have the power to do that. Just go with us, it can give you more proof that He isn't real.
Jonathon Ryan poor girl holding a upside down persion
38 minutes ago •
•
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: No she is the upsidedown person.
Jonathon Ryan lol
Megan Wilson: Hey , inam that upside down person.
Ben Lamb: Yea I experienced both worlds, when I wasn't at the age of reason I believe what ever my parents told me. I had no knowledge of god other than what my mom told me. I've experienced the stupidity of being in church with people that preach half the shit they don't even do.
Megan Wilson: PLEASE JUST COME TO MY CHURCH !
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I realize that. But maybe that just wasn't the church for you.
Dakota Broughton: Lets go Bean! C'mon!(:
• 2 people
Ben Lamb: All I see is a bunch of people that can't get there head out of there ass to think freely. But thats just putting it nice. But thats directed at the people that have done stupid shit with their life and think god is going to save them. Not directed at you.
Megan Wilson: What kind of church have you been to ?
Ben Lamb: Whats the difference? A different building? Maybe the atmosphere wasn't right, it could be too hot or too cold to fell gods sexual touch?
Ben Lamb: Can't remember
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: My head isn't in my ass, I think freely. You have this false stereotype of Christians. It's just different.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Go with us!
Dakota Broughton: I dont think Church should be divided. You believe or you dont.
Megan Wilson: EXPERIENCE IT. YOULL NEVER QUESTION GOD AGAIN.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: True dat! ^
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: LOL I sound so dumb.
Ben Lamb: I said it wasn't directed any of you.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: I know, i'm just saying. (:
Megan Wilson: Some people and churches I agree are just fool of it.
handling snakes and testing god. That's not right.
Ben Lamb: The people that have done stupid shit with their life
act
a two year old in class because you don't do any work but gods work.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Some churches just aren't the right atmosphere. You just don't feel Him in some churches.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Dakota thinks you guys should go.
Ben Lamb: No I don't feel him anywhere. You might be mistaking the touch of god by the vibrations of the crazy priest screaming his ass off saying gods word.
Dakota Broughton: Im going to bed. We will finish this endless two-sided discussion tomorow.
Ben Lamb: Well so far who has convinced you?
Ben Lamb: Can't just fucking leave without a winner...
Megan Wilson: PLEASE GO GUYS.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: If you need a little more than just words to believe, go to her church! I promise you'll feel something. Crazy Priest vibrations didn't make me stop taking 15 random pills at a time to get high. God did.
Ben Lamb: Really? You started the shit and you finished it, no divine intervention just your actions.
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Okay. I can't convince you obviously, & nothing I say will make you believe. Just go to church with us, please. It might change your mind. You never know.
Dakota Broughton: I think they both make some kind of since to me. Science does make more sense to me as of now.. Finish later nigz
28 minutes ago •
Kayla Morgan Gerkens: Kay Dakota night we love you. (:
•
Megan Wilson: HAHAHHA
Ben Lamb: Well after being told by your mom that if you keep poppin pills you will be buck butted by bob barker, and then get dissected on a table while you are still conscious would probably change any kids perspective on life? But if they have the common sense they wouldn't believe as crazy as that shit.

Actually, I dunno what to say about this.
On one hand the church is for Christians. They say things there that usually only Christians get.
But on the other hand, I've always heard stories of how people got 'changed' and stuff while at church.
I personally highly doubt you'll get out as a Christian, and you're only 15 (I'm 16), but give it a shot. It's only 2 hours, and supposedly it's only once. Then you can 'shut up' those friends of yours, as you said.

No matter what you never went to the right church. And on the off chance you went to the same church as the person criticizing you, you just didn't really understand the religion. Christians believe that anyone who truly understands their religion must be a Christian, so anyone who isn't must not have understood.
On another note, I don't go to church unless there's something in it for me. Last time I went I was paid twenty bucks.

Up to you really.
I've spent many years in the church choir, and therefore in church, even though I didn't believe any of it. It was pretty fun to be there, and our church was very beautiful (that church is a copy of the St Peters cathedral in Rome) so I had plenty to see and admire. Had it been a protestant church I doubt I would have lasted that long. I went to a protestant church once for the wedding of my nephew, and I was bored to tears (though the congregation holding their hands in the air bit was interesting, what is up with that?).
Best regards,

This is a very interesting situation.
Option A: Go to the church. If at all possible, try to get at least one of them to say which church is "the right one." There's a possibility that at least two of them will answer and have different answers to that same question. If this happens, take the opportunity to make the point that the claim that you're only an atheist because you haven't gone to the right church to be totally pointless since there is no objective point of reference. If, however, you only get one answer, you may as well just go. The worst that's likely to happen is that either you spend an hour or two bored out of your skull (in which case, you will likely have in your pew a Bible, a pencil, and two hands, which can be used to play five-finger fillet during the service, which is what I usually do when dragged to church by my parents), or at least you will have an experience to rant about if you choose one of the more crazy denominations out there (since you live in Kentucky, which technically counts as the Bible belt, this is still a distinct possibility.)
Option B: Don't and say you did. If you don't want to go through all the trouble of Option A, wait until Monday and say you did. You may want to add some details for verisimilitude, but there's a pretty big chance that they won't leave you alone unless you actually do take leave of your senses and convert. If it turns out that they don't believe you, then I would suggest enlightening them with this article I worked on about how theists who want to be taken seriously by atheists should argue.
