Quick Poll - Do you believe in God?

I used to because my family did, but then I learned about Atheism and stopped believing
Ayyyyyyy!
Who's necroing all these threads? Even the one about not necroposting.
I "believe" in God like a tree believes in sunlight.
I "believe" in God like I believe I can walk. I no longer operate by "belief".

So basically, you've adopted this "God" into something so vital to your personal identity that the possibility of it's not existing not only is inconceivable, it would actually threaten your world? This "God" has to exist otherwise your life has no meaning? Is that what you're saying here?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

This "God" has to exist otherwise your life has no meaning? Is that what you're saying here? The God I've "adopted" (worked out over years of subjective experience and objective study/working out) is vital to the existence of all the infinite universes. Without the flow of the Infinite substance between them, there would be no opening of space-time nor the possibility of a single atom, let alone me. What it does "tell" me is that I, along with every other soul, is a universe unto ourselves and we are "doomed" to perfection, how ever many lives it takes to grow beyond the need to project into bodies made of atoms and learn from the errors we create here. We are each unique self expressions (pro-creations) of the original Individual and though we appear as enemies in this life, we are siblings, and I love you, and competition is good for the growth of all participants. I am not concerned with the form of this wave, but only the water I can gather and the carrying force I can exert on the ocean. Some of us like to surf while we're down here. And so if I live in this manner of eternal self responsibility and deep, intimate connection/recognition similarity to others under the surface of our faces, how shall I have lived even though all this turn out to be untrue?

The operation of my conception of God gives me a deterministic metaversal model with an expansive constant on all it's infinite universes to within .5% of the modern refined value found for this universe. How close does yours get?

You sell yourself short. Could it be that God and yourself are one? Who is to say? Who indeed.

Who indeed.Well I'd rather not be, that's one hell of a responsibility! If I were God I'd take away all my powers, forget everything, mummify myself in matter and lose it in a sea of others. ...OH MY GOD, I'M GOD!!!....and I've created a solipsist nightmare....crap. Or I just wanted a vacation and a puzzle to solve. You know, keeps the mind young. But in all serious poetry: God to me is like the first Tree, and I just a sprout fresh burst from the shell. Though darkness still shroud me, giants rejoice all around me. If I join them only time will tell.
