I agree with Cinjin that what a politician says while in campaign mode doesn't mean a thing, but the fact that he went against his party's established idiocy should count for something. After all, he had to have known that not acting like a complete moronic asshole was not going to get his party's nomination, yet he refused to toe the party line. That counts for something in my book. Not much...but something nonetheless.

ORLY? Seems to me that his position is a response to recent polling that suggests we don't give a shit about his party's line.
