A sword fight between my wife and myself would go something like this:

The best thing to come out of America, Robert Johnson? No, not by a long shot. Not even close. Something to be proud of? Absolutely, he was a blues legend and an innovator as a musician. Even the Stones, Clapton, and Dylan were inspired by him, but to say that he was the best thing America ever produced just because you happen to like blues is just silly.
