Presumably, you have friends who don't agree with you on every issue. Why is the man no longer your friend because he doesn't agree with your views on God? Why is he no longer a good man?

I have many friends who are atheist and I love them just the same. If anything, I love them even more now that I am a Christian. So, I would ask why you don't consider this person your friend any longer, when he obviously still cares about you.

Also, it is difficult for to be very good friends with stupid people. And christians (self-proclaimed sheep) tend to be stupid people. (I do however know a handful that are reasonably ok)

Were I to see my old friend on the street again, knowing what I know now, I would still certainly engage him with a hello and smile, because above all else (and without your angry god) I am a human being attempting to promote good will among all men. Something your god has NEVER been known to do by the way.

Christians tend to be as intelligent or as dull as any other group of people. I've met many bright atheists and many that are dumb as rocks. People are people, and they come in all different flavors. While you may consider it stupid to be a Christian, it doesn't mean that intelligent people, even ones more intelligent than yourself, can't be Christians. It's just your opinion.

Well, I can say you're not really promoting good will here by saying that most Christians are stupid people. And I fully believe you're capable of doing good. We all have a God given conscience which tells us right from wrong. I have to say though that your claim about God never promoting good will isn't true:

Mark 12:31

Well, I can say you're not really promoting good will here by saying that most Christians are stupid people.

Making a generalization about Christianity is just my way of simply showing my disdain for all the revealed religions of the world. I have done harm to no man by saying it. Come down off your high horse and stop being so dramatic.

Since your god regularly follows verses like these up with "go into the land of thine enemy and kill all it's inhabitants", they are contradictory and mean nothing.

Your god has never practiced what he preached and goes back on his own word so many times its difficult to keep track of them all.

If you want to quote scripture verses, I can do that all day long with you, but I'm just not in the mood to hear an apologist go on and on about the filthy lies he's gullible enough to believe in.

If you would like to discuss the topic of the thread, I will continue to speak with you, but if you're about to go off on some tired tangent about all the supposed good your god likes to promote, than all I can tell you is that I have no interest in hearing another sheep lie to me about the love of his angry desert god.

What you believe in is an illusion and quoting a handful of happy-fluffy-feel-good verses from your bible are proof of nothing. Your god is a self-absorbed liar and I am so very thankful he's not real.
