Life sized replica of noah's ark currently under construction
September 15, 2011 at 9:26 am
A couple in the Netherlands built a half sized replica of noah's ark a few years ago and now are building a life sized replica so it can be sailed up the Thames at the 2012 London Olympics.

I hope the whole thing somehow catches on fire while sailing up the Thames...

Go over there and ask them all sorts of tough questions.
- If there are only two of each animal, wouldn't that mean that they're offspring will have to mate which would cause fatal genetic disorders? How did Noah over come that problem? Even today with our technology we would have a hard time solving that problem.
- How do you apply different temperatures on a single ship? Since many animals require certain environmental conditions in order to survive.
- How do you solve the problem of disease?
- How do you fit all 8.7 million species on a single ship plus all the different variety of food to sustain them?
- How did Noah know about the flood? Since he would need to know long before it actually happened so he'd have plenty of time to build the ship and gather all 8.7 million species of animal.
- How did Noah know which animal would need which kind of food?
I reckon I'd be escorted off the premises.

Yes, God created the whole universe, yet he had to ask poor Noah to save the animals! That dude is one lazy scumbat.

So...it's not a replica but an INCREDIBLE SIMULATION of a replica? What a fucking nutter.
One hopes the Royal Navy tells him to keep that fucking piece of shit in international waters.

They didn't, which explains the prevelence of theists

Some christians are more full of hot air than others. This facilitates the creation of different temperature zones, complete with weather fronts of doctrinal thunderstorms between them, on the arc

It seem unlikely those who could dream up this story had the wits to count much beyond 12.

God told him, but no one who is not scheduled to survive noticed the construction of a mega-ship (by desert beduin standards) and asked any question.

They all ate bananas, some of which got stuck end on in the gum of tyrannosaurs, which, when fossilized, gave the impression they had teeth.

- How did Noah know which animal would need which kind of food? The answer is that Noah put them into suspended animation, and that there would be much fewer species, so that they could fit on there. Of course, that would mean that a lot of different species would have to branch off into many different species in less than 4000 years. Yes, I have actually heard counter-arguments like that, and no, they didn't make it seem any more plausible.
P.S. I did a little bit of research, and I learned that, if they're going to create an all-wooden boat that's supposed to be full-size (450 feet), it's going to be way too big to be seaworthy. The longest all-wooden ships on record are the HMS Orlando and Mersey. Both of these ships had significant problems staying afloat and were eventually scrapped. One running theme that one sees when one looks at the longest wooden ships ever is that the wood of those boats ended up flexing a lot, leading to the Hulls' splitting and needing to be pumped almost constantly, and that only did so much.
I honestly think that, even if the animal load is lessened, the voyage will be a spectacular failure, unless he chickens out and creates another ship made out of metal and sails that.

Yep, that's another fault in their claim. Wooden ships can only be built so big, too big and they'll end up on the bottom.
None of it is even remotely possible.
The flood was most likely a much smaller and local one, but was hugely exaggerated. Noah may of been a normal farmer with a boat which he must of had available to him and for which he could quickly board his farm animals on. Not saving the fucking planet with a wooden ship that cannot possibly float due to it's size because wood can only handle so much. Not to mention all the other problems.
Quite simply, the so called 'global flood' never happened.
