I have a recollection of some christian coming here and claiming that atheists have no creative ability....
Wanker..... If you're not supposed to ride faster than your guardian angel can fly then mine had better get a bloody SR-71. That's rich. if anything religion, and particularily christianity, limits creativity, because it's like you have someone looking over your shoulder keeping an a demotivational running commentary on your ideas, saying things in your ear like "you can't include that in your painting, that's obscene/immoral/indecent/blasphemous and so on. I never felt more free creatively since the day I gave up believing in god. I agree, a total wanker whoever said that. He must really hate seeing that people are just as creative, and moreso in some cases, without having to hold any silly beliefs.

Representative pieces of my art, starting from early highschool to early college. Before I lost interest in doing art (really should resurrect that again).
This actually is colored version of my first drawing, the one that I doodled while reading Inuyasha when I was taking a boring drivers ed course over the summer at some no-name place. A girl I knew in COSMOS liked to draw but couldn't color, so this was my first attempt at coloring someone else's lines: I'm not powerful with photoshop or brushes or what not. I prefer to rely on masking and subtle filters. I did this when I was in my first year of university. It is my last 'work' that I actually cared about... Since then, I've been debating on how to recapture that love. But with a high stress job, I've barely the energy to play Starcraft 2, let alone draw and color. Though I do have a Graphire4 and yearn to master it. Slave to the Patriarchy no more
Nice artwork there Moros, you should definitely resurrect your artistic pursuits, I know what you mean about not having the time though, since my son was born there just isn't enough hours in the day. Anywho, here is a charcoal piece I did a few years ago. I called it "The Word Wizard"

Can you tell me about the piece and the title, Jay?

The name was a name I used to use online in chatrooms years ago. Needless to say I quickly dropped it as a chatting name, but I held onto the name in my mind incase it applied to anything I drew or painted down the road. The concept for the image came about when I was experimenting with drawing the texture of fabrics. What I did was I got a bed sheet and I piled it in a corner on top of a locker, and I kept fluffing up the blanket until it fell naturally into something I found interesting, and this image is what came out. It was spooky how much like a face it looked, but I really enjoyed the whole process, It all just happened very naturally
