Hey El Dinero -

At the risk of a thread derail, I wanted to ask, have you got any experience recording electric guitar on a PC/laptop? I know I've got a few options - mic the cab, patch the preamp/effects loop through a {mumble}, and probably a bunch of other things I don't even know about. But before I actually go out and plunk down some dead presidents on gear I want to hear some sage advice from someone who's actually done it.

Have you got a decent recording program on the computer like Adobe Audition? Whenever I've recorded tracks like that, we put a microphone in front of the amp. You know you're getting the sound you want then. Going directly in to the computer has proved problematic for me in the past.

I just have to ask ---
Why are you always recording in a bedroom, on what I assume is your bed??

You don't live with your mom do you? I mean, you're a good player/singer - you should dress up those videos a bit. Maybe give yourself a backdrop or at least make it look like you're in your own place.


You sound just fine - I'm just curious. If I was putting public videos out for the entire world to see, it seems I'd want to show them a more finished look.
