You don't live with your mom do you? I mean, you're a good player/singer - you should dress up those videos a bit. Maybe give yourself a backdrop or at least make it look like you're in your own place.

You sound just fine - I'm just curious. If I was putting public videos out for the entire world to see, it seems I'd want to show them a more finished look.

I don't see why it matters. They are youtube videos for friends to see, not an audition for anything serious.

Actually, I think it shows more of how it's him, not anything to do with the scenery or presentation. Close your eyes and listen to him, you don't know what he or the room looks like anyway.

I would request, ED, that you quit cutting your face in half with the camera though. I so rarely get to look at your handsome face as it is.

A tad contradictory and exactly proves my point - which is - we live in a visual world. I don't actually give one iota if EL D wants to record where he does. He's comfortable and having a good time, that's fine. I simply think that if he wants to present himself as a legitimate musician, he may want to record these songs in a place more befitting a professional musician and not a place reminiscent of a high school girl pawning over how misunderstood she is.

These are just fun videos he's making for us here at AF. I don't think they're intended to be promotional. I do wish he would stop cutting his head off too. It's a great head and the whole thing needs to show.

My point being that in a simple setting his talent shines out just as well.

Me wanting to see his face is an entirely separate issue, though I'll gladly take both at the same time.

No but seriously, like Napo said it's just for giggles. Besides, I don't reckon there'll be many talent scouts watching my videos, but I DO reckon there's a few people on here who are interested in my bed (I'm looking at you, BloodyHeretic)... Wink
