All this honest curiosity pouring out of me is making me uneasy:
Why do they have compassion for trolling assholes and empathy for a shitty place halfway around the world? 0.o
Usual shitty reason Vae... it's not us in that earthquake zone.
Hey has anyone heard / Seen the Vi0D or did I miss another memo?

Someone has to, or we're a worthless little troop of monkeys eh?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Really don't see why anyone cares: It's an earthquake. Woo.

Void is alright. He said that he's just very busy with other work (outside the forum). He'll come back when he has more leisure time.
Concerning mehmet, I think he is okay also because I've seen him post here. I hope that his family is okay also.

To be blunt. No, I don't care much at all. Although I hope Mehmet is OK.
My understanding is that it was 7.2. I think I'd care quite a lot if it effected my street. For a start, my house would not be here. The rubble would be at the bottom of the hill.
According to Wiki,7.2 can cause serious damage over a wide area. There are about 15 earthquakes of that magnitude world wide a year.

Hell, I'd even check in on the xtians if any of them were affected by a massive catastrophe, although it might be mistaken for the rapture.

I care about people in general. Being a troll isn't punishable by impassivity when it comes to potentially life or death situations, in my opinion. As for Turkey, it's not all that shitty, but I'm a history nerd. What history they have not destroyed is pretty neat. I find it difficult not to be impressed.

Indeed. Do their children not deserve life because they happened to be born in a shitty environment?
I hate these threads ... not because I don't want to support the downtrodden, but because it is the only time I am embarrassed of the rhetoric of SOME of my atheist friends. Especially considering how often I brag about how much more loving and compassionate we all are than christians.
whatever, be who you want, I'll do the same.

I thought it might be a fair thread to maintain, through which we can all express care for those on the board.
So, Mehmet, are you safe and sound? Are your family and friends OK? I am A-OK. And all my relatives are OK too. The earthquake happened far from where I'm living.
It was in the city of Van.

The thing is that we DON"T know where you are living (City that is) We had to go through this with the Christchurch earth quake only to find one of the members actually LIVED in the quake zone; so we still get a bit worried when ever a new earth quake hits a city.
