Life is awesome - argumentum ad populum
RE: Life is awesome - argumentum ad populum
Sounds like this individual is still very young and is still going through the process of growing up.

Whichever way you want to look at it.

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

How many "mentally ill" people have you actually conversed with in your lifetime?

Tell me all the wonderful things that we can look forward to that we should be optimistic about, take your time.

Your having committed suicide to put an end to it all, and yet we remain to enjoy a world made beautiful by the absence of you.

To your first point, I'm not suicidal, and killing myself will inflict suffering on those close to me over the grievance of my death, I don't know why you find it necessary to label me accordingly just because of my negative value judgement on life and the deductive reasoning that has lead me to the conclusions already stated, and to your second point, we live in an amoral universe with a cycle of unnecessary pain, suffering and death inflicted on the present generation by the generation preceding it, none of the material around you has any intrinsic value, it's all just perceptual, the conscious welfare of sentient life is all that matters which I've stated numerous times. If I were to end my own life, the non-existent will still be having life imposed on them, thus continuing the cycle of Frankenstein monsters.

Honestly, do you want to help these people cure their struggles in life, or do you just want to poke fun at them and label others mentally ill who aren't in agreement with you and the CULTural beliefs that you continue to cling to?

What did you not understand about the post that I made explaining the perpetuation of psychological stress?

Why do you continue to be close-minded on this issue?

Drugs are only a patch, not a solution.

I've met people in their late 20's who were still distraught over the break up of their parents which was the underlying cause for the depression in their lives, which they weren't even aware of, and those in their late 40's who couldn't get over their divorce and separation from their kids, or those who have lost the career path they were on which has spiralled them into a destructive alcoholic/drug addictive lifestyle. It's all to do with the memories that reside in your subconscious, they don't go away unless you do something about them. Have you ever been stressed, had an anxious moment, or ever been depressed? All these people just have to grow the fuck up according to you, right?

You're on the wrong path in life, you feel you're missing out on the things in your goal box that you've attached your self-worth to, you start thinking about things that you should've/could've done differently, and you start feeling worth less. This is how depression is caused, this is what brings about the chemical imbalance within your brain. When you're on the wrong path in life, you start to try and control or prevent an unfolding situation, this is how anxiety occurs. You can't be depressed and anxious at the same time, but you can shift between the two states, and I know for a fact that there are loads of people in the business world living stressed lifestyles who are constantly anxious, and they finally burnout after all the years of leading this kind of lifestyle and become deeply depressed. This is how most psychological stress disorders are perpetuated, this is how an individual gets on to a destructive path in life, the very people society shuns and don't give a fuck about.

That isn't a nice thing to say, I suppose you're going to be one of those people who end up in a nursing home, pissing all over yourself, having someone else wipe your ass for you and living through all sorts of ailments, disability or whatever the fuck life throws at you. You have no dignity, you have no grace.

Do you support the legalisation of euthanasia for those who can't bear the burdens of life anymore?

I honestly don't know how you could say this world is beautiful when there's so much pain and suffering going on.

Why don't you actually take a look at some of the posts I've made and use your logic and reasoning skills instead of playing on emotion and getting circle jerked into being close-minded about the most important issue to our existence?

I paid $24000+ to attend seminars and learn this method of overcoming psychological stress, it has helped many people with all sorts of problems ranging from anxiety, depression, post traumatic, post natal, bi polar, stress relating to illness, bereavement or body issues including weight issues and eating issues. Appeal to authority is a logical fallacy anyway, it isn't a must that I have a degree in psychology.

I do have a degree in psychology. Seminars like that are designed to hook you in and steal your money. I paid my money for a degree that qualifies me to assess you as an irrational person. The fact that you would spend an obscene amount of money to hear seminars by charlatans confirms my assessment.

Religion has been claimed to help many people with all sorts of things too. It's not a cure, just a temporary trick of the mind.

You're extremely young. It's obvious.

Well, if you took a look at the link I provided, you'd see why it costed so much. People with "mental illnesses" are just crying out for help, yet you don't want to understand them, you're just too goddamn proud. Just because you have a degree in psychology, doesn't make your opinions about the matter more validated. This method is based on scientific fact, it isn't dogma.

I'm 21, like that means anything though. I'm a highly self-aware, attentive and deeply empathetic individual.

You should have used that money and done something useful. Don't tell me I don't want to understand mental illness. Not only do I understand, I actually do something to help people.

I take my ass into work every day and listen to people's problems. I advocate for them, comfort them, and if I can't help them, I see to it that they get the help that they need. I'm living in the real world, buddy. What the fuck are you doing to help people with your knowledge that you founded at a scam artist's seminar? You don't have a degree to show for it, so you can't help people. All you can do is sit around and bitch about things. OR- you can charge people an obscene amount of money to give your own seminar about this bullshit, because taking people's cash in exchange for blowing smoke up their asses shows you really understand them, and want to help them so much.

You obviously have no concept of how the real world works.

People with mental illness are crying out for help, cuntosaur. People like you are making it impossible for them to get the help they actually need and are trying to make them falsely believe that a change of attitude is all they need to feel better. That might work for some pissy teenager whose parents took away the credit card when his grades slipped below average, but it doesn't work for people with serious mental illness.

Saying cheer up to someone with depression is like saying get well soon to a person with terminal cancer.

You're a fucking deluded bitch, try teaching this method to them, get them to write journals about their events and identify the core beliefs that are perpetuating the emotions and behaviour that they experience. Get the fuck over yourself. You label people as irrational arbitrarily, you don't apply any logic or reason to your posts.

I was clinically depressed since the age of 12, I've taken numerous antidepressants throughout my life, visited dozens of psychologists, none of it ever helped me. This method is proven to work, and it will change the way people perceive themselves and others in their lives.

Honestly, you give these people no hope whatsoever.

Are you people even reading my posts?
