Yep, imagine all those billions of tons of rock roaring around at hundreds of miles an hour, imagine the millions of gigawatts of energy being released. Imagine all the water boiling away into space(incidentally reducing Noah and his ark to ash).

Imagine the planet reduced to a cinder which even 4500 years later would not have recovered, or ever would.

Because obviously the cretinists can't imagine it.
