I smoke since 12 y.o. and I'm now 30, altough now I only smoke a 30g pack per week of hand rolled tobacco (one doesn't smoke as much if the cigs aren't available right away).
Good luck Cinjin, keep your will power strong and you'll make it

Nope. Ordinary Camel lights... oh, I'm sorry, Camel Blue with the surgeon general's warning that if I look at a pack of smokes out of the corner of my eye, I will die a horrible death along with my entire family.

The worst part about cigarettes is that they make it so you run out of breath quicker, but as long as you do some exercise your good. If you don't smoke like a crack head who just found a bottomless pit full of crack, your good. One and a half packs a week isn't that bad. Dont stop smoking. I have been smoking since i was 13 and dont plan on quitting.

My cigarettes do the smoking, I'm just the sucker.
I smoke 2-3 packs a day. If I quit I'll blow up and get super fat. I want to die looking smokin' hot.
Maybe I will quit one day, IDK. I'm just not ready yet.

I've smoked on occasion, never got addicted. Still smoke from time to time.

You can do it Cin, good luck! \o/
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I was an occasional smoker when I started. That lasted about six months. By the time a year had gone by I was in love with smoking and suckin a pack a day.
I'll definitely miss it, but hopefully, that craving will go away.
There's nothin quite like sittin in a comfy chair, sparkin a fresh cigarette and drinkin some good beer with pals.

I'm 36 and I've been smoking since I was 19. I've cut it back to 1 1/2 packs per week in the last year and as much as I do still enjoy it, I think I'm ready to let it go.
Wow. The last guy I knew who quit smoking had smoked for 15 years or so. He decided to go cold turkey. It wasn't fun for him.
Please don't go cold unless you've worked down to 1-2 cigs a day.

If you drank heavily for 10 years, you'd find quitting alcohol would take on the same importance as quitting cigs. Withdrawal from heavy alcoholism can kill if one goes cold turkey in that situation.

Any of you smoke/quit cigarettes? (No judgement of course.)
I lived through one of my brothers quitting. Guy was constantly angry and a total monster for a week. Fucker even attacked me, pissed off at my very presence in the commons room (for the record, I got him high a few times that week when I saw he was suffering, so needless to say I was pissed to be the object of attack midweek).
Just don't be a prick when you quit. Realize that everything feels nasty and annoying because of withdrawal, nothing else.

Good luck. If you find this doesn't work out, I'd like to interest you into migrating from incinerating (smoking) to at least patches, gum or vaporizers. Then you can at least offset the 'sucking air out of the oxygen tank [because statistics is a bitch]' problem forever.

Yeah, I'm actually down to about 2-3 cigs a day during the work week. It's the weekend at the bar that drives it up to the pack and half per week.
As of right now, I haven't had a smoke for two days. I'm ok for now ... but come the weekend, it's going to be goddamn brutal.
