Based on books and maps I presume it exists, but that means I am not relying on my own observation. I am not sure what this proves?
Regarding Man-made Global Warming
I am not sure what you mean that this exist?
Are you trying to say if there were no humans at all, there would be no global-warming?
The following is just as dumb as the flying spaghetti monster.
Alien Life
Sentient Alien Life
UFO encounters (as in spaceships piloted by sentient aliens)
Ghosts
Have you seen any of these? Probably not!! Then what is the probability that alien life exists? Why is Alien life more probable then Sentient Alien Life?
If you really an atheist, you need to apply the same logic regarding the existence of Alien Life as you do regarding the existence of God.
Ummm...you realize that alien life is a WHOOOLE lot more likely than Gaud, don't you? Please tell me you realize this. Hell, even unicorns are more likely than Gaud.
Also, alien life is more probable than sentient alien life because the requirements for complex life forms seem to be much more demanding than those for simple ones.
The reason alien life is more believable than Gaud is that we know with virtually 100% certainty that life exists on at least one planet in the Universe (Earth), which means that life in the Universe is clearly possible. Because of this, it reasonably follows that life could exist on other planets, and considering the size of the Universe, many experts posit that alien life is a statistical inevitability. While we can't say with certainty that it does exist, it would be irrational to claim with certainty that alien life doesn't exist.
Unicorns (horses with horns) are also more plausible than Gaud because horses definitely exist, as do animals with horns. Both of those things are possible, so unicorns are also within the realm of possible phenomenon (even if they do not, in fact, exist).
Gaud, on the other hand, is one of the most improbable claims one could make. For one thing, there is no evidence that any of Man's gods exist anywhere in the Universe. Furthermore, the very concept of Gaud seems to necessarily be impossible because of the qualities gods are said to have, starting with being immaterial and yet still conscious and able to affect the material Universe. That alone is impossible according to every scrap of evidence we have on the matter, but it doesn't stop there.
Most of the theists I've encountered also insist that Gaud is omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient, and omni-benevolent. The simple and plain fact is that no Gaud who created our universe could possibly have all those qualities. Gaud is an inherently contradictory concept. If I really have to I'll explain why in more detail, but if I do it will have to wait til tomorrow. It's getting late here.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)
