God's Child(ren)?

They are different because they were made up by different authors.

Min how naive of you, a history buff that does not know that in ancient times it was through the fathers that the lineage was written. Mothers were mentioned mostly when it came to specific persons or when a line through a man divided because of different wives of that man. Matthew wrote Joseph's lineage and Luke wrote Mary's linage. Do you really believe that the men who canonized the NT were so stupid that they would not have seen the differences, just because we are christians doesn't make us stupid, though I'm sure you do not.... NO can not see that.
You are right the lineage came through two different authors but they were not made up, the Jewish people were very meticulous when it came to keeping their lineages, again as a history buff you should have known this. I'm beginning to think age is getting to you, may want to take some vitiamins or something.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

That's strange....if we're so good at keeping lineages, how come the rest of the Jews (who presumably would have known his royal blood line and maybe witnessed his 'miracles') don't...give a flying fuck?

Other people were pretty good about keeping lineages too. That dude mentioned in Holy Blood Holy Grail was so good he managed to write himself into the Merovigian dynasty. Difference being that he was stupid enough to do it in a time when the correct information was widely available all over the world. And yet some two-bit author was able to take that ridiculous false idea and write a fictional novel based on a piece of fictional historical supposition (which the others of HB, HG readily admit it is) and now a ton of people believe Jesus did the nasty with the Magdalene (and who's blaming him...she was a redhead, traditionally, right? I think we discussed the hotness of redheads in another thread recently). Who knows? Maybe that whole story in another thousand years will end up being the accepted one, despite the plethora of evidence otherwise?

Since you have also rejected Him you should not have to ask that question. My ideas as to why means very little because I'm not their judge.

WTF are you talking about, G-C? I've spent far too much ink dealing with you and the other Batshit crazy xtian shrieking that BOTH geneaologies are MALE and nothing the fuck to do with "Mary." Please get your head out of your ass.

The whole story is invented. The oldest gospel ( Mark ) contains no such story and when these two bozos came along they felt it necessary to fill in the blanks. So each one made up a story and totally contradicted the other which does not stop morons from insisting that both are right.

Please wake up.

For such analytical people, it is hard to figure why you cannot conceive the idea.

The Bible predicts that there will be a false messiah known as the antichrist. Some people think that this is the same person as the Muslim messiah.

His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Pfft, everyone knows the nephelai were cloud nymphs.

Maybe the other sons of Yahweh were gods in their own right? Considering the pronunciation of YHWH is still debated (Yahweh, Jehovah, Jove, et cetera) and considering Jove is another form of the word Jupiter who is the counterpart to Zeus who was also a magic sky daddy whose roots are Proto-Indo-European in nature, where almost all of it's diverging mythos have a magic sky daddy and a magic earth mommy -- maybe Yahweh/Jove/Jupiter/Zeus got divorced, changed his name, and lost custody of the vast majority of his children during the court hearing, had to pick a group of his children out of a hat that he was allowed to stay in contact with and... agh, my head.

I shall retreat to Occam's Razor.

Yup, that was in the OT wasn't it? Maybe it was Jesus that was the false messiah, the antichrist? Devil

Anyway, I thought the antichrist was meant to appear at the end of days, so if it was Mohammed then he must have arrived quite a few centuries early as still no sign of Armageddon... although we do have fog here today.... could be a sign or portent!
