I apologise for introducing a bit of off-topic here but since you mentioned noVidia, I really need to ask you an off-topic question because right now I'm on a cross-road (almost like Dean Winchester was). If you read your personal message it would be a lot easier to explain what I wanna ask tomorrow. Right now I sniffed 6 white lines of highways to hell and my brain is starting to boil, so if you don't mind to continue the off-topic in personal messages.

Currently running Fedora 21 dual booting with Win7. If when I get my new SSD and paired 4TB (mirrored RAID) I'll be tearing down and reinstalling everyting, including multi-boot with a variety of Linux distros and Win7 (need AutoCAD for work). Right now, fedora is the only one I can get to install alongside Winblows.

Yep, been using it since back when the kernel was 0.99 patchlevel something or other.

I don't currently use it as a desktop OS, except in a VM. It's used heavily at work as a server OS, my own server needs are satisfied by it as well, though I have started to use FreeBSD instead.

On an unrelated note, I shared a scuba dive charter with Linus several years ago.

If you have a problem with the original frivers, then visit radoen.ru. Those guy do their work perfectly on Linx and you won't regret it.
I keep my eyes barely open to just ttell you this, so pls ignore all of the gramatical and spellingmistakes on this poit.

I first installed slackware back in 1996 on a Pentium 60 and had to copy it onto 40 installation floppy disks. I briefly used Redhat at work and then bought Suse (now OpenSuse) in 2002 and have kept with that ever since. I originally bought that because I had heard that it just came with the most stuff.

I really don't like Ubuntu and had to use it at work once but I replaced it with OpenSuse when it messed up upgrading itself. I had a Debbian server once (it was a VPS) and that was so time consuming having to figure out how to configure everything on the command line even though I do all my programming on the command line and hate graphical IDEs.

I don't bother upgrading with OpenSuse, I just reinstall the operating system each time because my home drive is on a separate partition. Sometimes there can be bugs though. Like getting it to dual boot with my new computer with UEFI on a separate hard disk was rather difficult. I'm not looking forward to moving to the next version now.

I use it exclusively, though I currently run the l4m3r distro Ubuntu.

I always feel patronized by Windows, I use a lot of free software of all kinds, a lot of scientific stuff is designed to run on linux. I like being able to use bash and all that goes with it

Linux fedora 21 at work... running smoothly-ish with KDE on a pentium 4 computer with 2GB of RAM... much better than cinnamon was running... and I refuse to use that hell-spawn thing they call Gnome 3.

On my personal 6 year old laptop? Win7. Great for firefox, games and android rooting (why is it that the people rooting phones all create applications for windows and not for linux?)

I have been using linux Mint for the last 2 or 3 years, never had a problem with it, it boots fast and so far I have never had it crash (that's probably the kiss of death!)
