Religious Rules that bother you the most

RE: Religious Rules that bother you the most
???

All of them.  Except the ones about killing and raping and stealing - - the common sense stuff that nearly all humans know, without any religion.

vorlon13    Regarding the Jesus biscuit, if I may digress; I've heard from a celiac suffering friend of mine that gluten free communion wafers are prohibited, although apparently a 'low' gluten version is available.

Since the darn things transubstantiate anyhow, and gluten is NOT a constituent of human flesh or blood, why dafuq we need a gluten biscuit in the first place?
---------------------------------------------------------

Actually, there is now a gluten-free wafer.  A friend of mine has to specifically request it.  But the transubstantiation thing is a fabulous point.  I think I'll ask her about that.         Rolleyes

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Evangelism bugs me the most. I don't mind people coming to invite me to their church, that's okay. Anything beyond that can be offensive.

Even as a Christian, I thought this was intrusive. I thought people were to be drawn, not assaulted (or insulted).

(I guess that's not really a rule.)

Every rule that claims justification based on any religion bothers me, even if an otherwise identical rule based on non-religious considerations would have been sound.

Doing anything for any religious reasons is u sound, IMHO.

Prohibition of birth control because of the very real harm it causes: Huge, impoverished families and overpopulation.

Why one person receives eternal paradise and their neighbour gets eternal torture based on a difference of opinion on a philosophical matter.

Everyone must have at least thirty minutes of "quiet time with the lord" every morning. Oh, and the whole "wives, submit to your husband" deal.

Aren't women "saved" by having a gaggle of babies?

What happens if it is more than one step to the toilet?

I think they catholicks have one about not shitting on the altar.

The rule that says not to question the rules.

How convenient.
