21 U.S. states will not allow syrian refugees

RE: 21 U.S. states will not allow syrian refugees
I only have about 40 people who are friends on FB, and I've had to unfollow 3 of them because of this. They just won't stop posting stupid shit about how great it is that places like Texas will be refusing to allow in any Syrian refugees. I don't like to respond to this kind f political thing on FB, but it is really hard not to....so now my FB is greatly reduced. Silver lining I guess. Bunch of bigots, so many it's actually fairly alarming.

States that will not accept Syrian refugees :
-- Alabama
-- Arizona
-- Arkansas
-- Florida
-- Georgia
-- Illinois
-- Indiana
-- Louisiana
-- Massachusetts
-- Michigan
-- Mississippi
-- Ohio
-- Texas
-- Wisconsin
-- North Carolina
-- New Hampshire
(newest states refusing to admit refugees : Idaho , Maine, Nebraska , Tennessee)

States that have announced they will accept refugees:
-- Colorado
-- Delaware
-- Pennsylvania
-- Vermont
-- Washington
-- Hawaii

and yes the attacks are motivated by religion but there shouldnt be a religious test given to immigrants just because theyre muslims doesnt mean they are going to be terrorists .
Just a note, Oregon has announced it will be accepting refugees as well.

I've heard that from a number of both sitting and hopeful members of the house. BTW, both Reagan and HW Bush issued executive orders that made it easier for some groups of illegal immigrants to stay in the US. I can't seem to recall any republicans threatening to impeach them for it though...

There is undoubtedly some reason for that.

Someone should point out to paranoid Christian dimwits opposed to succoring Syrian refugees that the Nativity scenes they're always yakking about depicts a Middle Eastern Family seeking refuge!!!

That's not what the Constitution says. Reread the link I posted earlier in this thread.  The Constitution specifically names "high crimes and misdemeanors" as causes for impeachment -- and more to the point, no other causes.

In order to bring a charge, you have to, you know, have a charge. That's why Clinton was charged with perjury, rather than, say, being a Democrat. That's because perjury is on the books as being illegal.

I'm still waiting for WoG to enumerate any crime he thinks Obama should be charged with.  Seems to me like he cannot come up with one.
What was Andrew Johnson charged with?

"Unfit to be president

There were 11 counts, nine of which repeated over and again that he had violated the Tenure of Office Act by firing Stanton. The last two accused him of bringing Congress into "disgrace, ridicule, hatred, contempt and reproach" by speeches he had given, and the 11th summarized the other 10 and said Johnson's conduct demonstrated his unfitness to be president."

So if the House does actually impeach the President and if the Senate does actually convict him who is going to overturn the proceedings?

im glad Oregon says they will take refugees  if the federal government wanted to push the issue they could make every State but its only 10,000 thats really not a lot of refugees at all and we take in hundreds of thousands of immigrants every year anyways  . oh no just now on TV news im watching is saying ISIS is threatening NYC and has videos of a person with bomb vest on and pics of NYC  :/  thats not going to help with the paranoia thats going on right now ...

I have no doubt SCOTUS would void any conviction based on the fact that no crime had been demonstrated. And more to the point, I have no doubt that the Congress, knowing that, would not dream of charging a President with a non-crime.
The SCOTUS can't reverse a presidential impeachment.  It has no jurisdiction in the matter other than the Chief Justice presides over it.  But once the Senate convicts it's a done deal.

There is a lot of legal immigrants who became citizens and terrorists.  http://dailycaller.com/2015/11/18/at-lea...mmigrants/

We even admitted a couple of OBL's buddies.  http://abcnews.go.com/International/terr...d=35252500

And people are coming in with European passports http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/u.s.-b...le/2576672
Since people with Greek passports don't need visas to enter the US they should have just flown in on a commercial plane to NYC.
