It is not possible to be racist against Muslims because it's a religion, not a race. And I'm pretty sure you're a troll anyway, so whatevs.

Muslim is not a race, so it's not racist to call muslims backward. The enlightenment has managed to drag christianity kicking and screaming into the future, but islam is more stubborn. It's kind of hard to defend the actions of those in power in countries like Saudi Arabia.
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that in some ways America isn't much better. Our government is corrupt. Police kill citizens in the street and rarely face charges. Preachers call for genocide of the gays and atheists. We tortured people at Guantanamo, despite it being common knowledge that torturing people is a bad way to get reliable information. We make friends based on what resources they give us, and not how enlightened they are.
Things can be bad over there. Things can be bad over here too.

I'm also sure, he's just a troll. But racism is just a word to hide behind for certain people. The mindset is the just the same if you throw a blanket over any given group and brand them as disgusting - or vermin, in this case.
