Your online safety..........

RE: Your online safety..........
Paint it however you want, still was not "creepy". NO, you are reading into it what you want.

Yeah, I've seen stories of scammers and I must tell you - they were much more riveting stories than yours... Although admittedly not all of them quite as creepy. Tongue

And I still don't understand what kind of a "tactic" I'm supposed to be watching out for? Random people joining online groups and then leaving? What am I supposed to do with that information??? Undecided

Ok maybe not you, but others here tried to imply that because I was talking about a first post being the picture of an attractive women, and that I asked that person, who said YES in public, that I chased her off. If nobody's argument is about harassment, why are you dragging such a stupid argument out?

It is a common tactic by scammers to post pictures that are not them. Even without male vs female involved, others create fake profiles to paint themselves as doctors or military,,,,,,ect ect ect.....even if it is just to get attention. In this case it would not have shocked me if it had been some fat guy in Nigeria. Thats all. Stop making this out to be something it is not.

Grow up.

Facepalm there's this neat thing a lot of people like here, it's called evidence. If you have any evidence whatsoever, even circumstantial evidence that could make it seem like this person might be a scammer, let's see it. So far you've given nothing. Not even one thing that would make me think this isn't a person who was like " Undecided alrighty then.... Confused " and then blocked you and left because you accused her of being a scammer for no reason.

Again, it would have to be a judgment call in context of situation. I think people here have run into people who come across as "out of place" for a first post, even on this website. Can look different even without pictures. You've never run into mail, or a phone call, or even someone on the sidewalk asking you to do something and it simply came off as "something is not right"? Happens all the time. That is the benefit of being skeptical, you don't have to take people's word for it.

Then why did you post the comment? Why comment in the thread at all?

Creepiness, a la... the noun form of causing an unpleasant feeling of fear or unease... in either yourself, OR in others... is NOT within your capability to deny to others... as they are feeling 'creeped out' in this thread... and that's the feeling they (others) seem to be getting from you and your presence in this thread.

People will 'paint it' how they feel... and they feel it is creepy. You can give a shit or not: I do not care either way...

But see... I wouldn't have you be ignorant of the fact that others do not necessarily feel the same way that feel about yourself (and your presentation). To me, your actions are only pathetic. Which is my feeling: that you've got yourself a great big self-absorbed head that is either unwilling, or utterly incapable, of considering other peoples' existences.

My only fascination with you in this thread is... this: why does someone who categorically does not care about what other people think or feel... want to try to warn them about scammers? Thinking

Whether you care about this hypocrisy and/or self-defeatism...? That's up to you. I just feel that it's laughable. And since I feel this entire thread is just so laughable: some more lovely ABBA remixes are coming!~ Tongue Tiger Skunk

Boy, your word salad is as imaginative as a theologian apologist. So you do think what I did was, or could have been perceived as "creepy", ok, and you are right, I don't care. If I stressed out over every false perception others had of me I would have committed suicide a long time ago. Fine with me if you think this is all "laughable", but that part would be your projection of what you want to be in my head, that part certainly laughable.

Mmm-kay. I promise to try and make the best judgement call in context of any given situation. Hey, guess what - I already do it - like - all the time. That's pretty much how a brain works... Tongue

Sure. This one time someone approached me on the sidewalk in an unfamiliar neighborhood and wanted to be my friend. Then the person repeatedly prompted me to confirm our friendship, while explaining that there are a lot of shady characters around the area. Understandably I told them what they wanted to hear, then quickly got the f*** outta there... As I was leaving I think I heard them mutter something about "lagit people". Wink

If you say so. Sounds more like the draw-back of paranoia, combined with some questionable social skills, if you ask me...

Mm, I'm really hungry for a good salad.

Look, honey... if you don't understand english on this forum: you're gonna have a bad time.

I think you look like cap'n crunch. Really, are we going to do this? Cuz mate... I mean you no disrespect (you got that well enough handled on your ownskii)... but there is no capacity for you to 'disrespect' me in a way that's going to make me treat you to anything more than ABBA remixes (which, honestly, are a friendly gesture... but you don't have the grasp on nuance enough to understand what it is to give someone an 'out').

I don't want you to be anything, mate... that you exist alone is nothing to me. Literally nothing. You're disrupting my day by getting people I *do* care about respond to you, and gettin them all stressedid about how thickheaded they feel that you are. So I'll try to help you, as nothing but a kindness.

That you push away kindness while you're attacked on all sides... now that, dearie... is hilarious.

Here's some ABBA to go with my delicious salad~ Heart

Eat it, Brian. Eat the salad.
