Carol of the bells is my favorite Christmas song, especially the a Capella version by Pentatonix
I listen to the Manheim Steamroller Christmas album all year because they have awesome old-tymey versions of really classic songs.
Some Christmas music I don't mind or even enjoy (national lampoons Christmas vacation opening song for instance) but mostly I find it annoying as fuck because it's jammed down my throat every time I got to a store, even stores that for the other 10 months of the year don't play music at all.
I also tend to listen to Christmas music in June since that's about the time of year I'm not suck of it.

Really don't have a choice in whether to listen to Christmas songs/music or not this time of year. I can only think of four that I actually enjoy. Pachelbel's Canon in D as Christmas Canon is my all-time favorite Christmas song, followed by O' Holy Night, Silver Bells and All I Want for Christmas is You.
I hate hearing Little Drummer Boy or Santa Baby, but Wonderful Christmastime takes the cake as the most sickeningly annoying Christmas song ever.... it's that damn repulsive.

Sure, I listen to them. I don't like some of them. Back when I worked in retail they were the Bane of my existence. But I like listening to them so long as they're good and well done.
My husband can't listen to some of them without remarking on how confused he is by Christianity still.

I got the Muppet Christmas carol songs stuck in my head. I've had Micheal Cane singing that song he does at the end of the film stuck in my head for a month now.

The videos of the songs mentioned in my previous post:

Mannheim Steamroller full album

My favorite part of Home Alone

This song would have been so much fun to play when I was in band... There's a huge part of me that wishes that clarinets got at least a little part of 1:13-1:19 but I have a feeling the snooty, no-good flutes would bogart that part...
(FYI, I don't know why half of that video is silent, I chose it because it had the clearest, brightest audio of the song.)

I mean some of the Christmas songs are pretty fucking awesome. I mean it's not like other non-jesus songs aren't about fictional characters. "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" "Here comes Santa Clause" Do you avoid songs with more Jesus-y connotations, or do you shrug off the religious associations for the season?
Also if you do listen to Christmas songs, what are some of your favorites? I sometimes like to sing along with the first few lines of Silent Night. It just feels good when Mahalia Jackson sings it. But I tune out when they songs sing specifically about Jesus being the lord or savior.
I also like the First Noel until it gets to the part about shepherds grazing their sheep in deep snow. That's just too ridiculous to sing.

I rather enjoy the songs about winter, santa, etc., mostly because I like to sing and they fit well with my vocal style. I also think I have some nostalgia attached to the Holiday season, since it was pretty awesome when I was a kid. We weren't super well-off, but my mom and dad always worked hard to make sure we'd have a good Christmas.
So yeah, I enjoy Christmas music, and yeah, I'm probably gonna keep attending my family's Christmas celebrations because to me, family and memories are what it was always about anyway. I won't be attending church, obviously, and I revel in celebrating a "Christian" holiday while summarily taking "Christ" out of it because I know how much they hate that, and it warms my little, black, heathen heart.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):
"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)
