Star Wars is the story of an orphaned farm boy that is radicalized after a military strike kills his family. He is then indoctrinated into an ancient religion and joins a band of insurgents on a terrorist attack that kills 300,000 people.

I've got to say that out of every startwars review I'm ever going to read I think I'm going to pay attention to this one the most and just not watch it.
I might actually give some thought into watching it if someone can promise me that there aren't scenes of good guys taking on ridiculous amounts of bad guys and the bad guys have laser guns.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

There's killer comets and rogue asteroids, but their charisma didn't do much to help movies like Armageddon.

You know that's a promise no one's going to be able to make in good conscience...

I don't give a fuck about Sophie Turner or how good looking she is because good looking women are in all films but this new X men has apocalypse in it which sounds really good to me.
Yeh I don't want to derail the thread but this is the movie I'm looking forward to.

Yeh I just googled Sophie Turner and fair enough if I saw her in my gym or something I'd probably prematurely ejaculate, but that's not what makes a good film.

Well, in his defense I don't think there were any civilians aboard the Death Star when it was destroyed.
What about all those civilians on Alderann who that space-weapon murdered?

I never could get into the comic-action-heroes-in-tights fetish, but the X-Men aren't quite so childish, Wolverine is very charismatic, and like you say, some of the chicks in it are hot. Can't even remember the name of the character, much less the actress, but whenever I think of X-Men I still think of the girl in blue body paint (this was a decade or two back).

I thoroughly enjoyed it, will definitely see it again, (just not in 3D again, costs to much) thought BB8 was a great new droid, very cute and expressive in a way R2D2 couldn't be. Didn't think there was too much gratuitous CGI.
For a big blockbuster type Hollywood machine movie I'd give it 4.75/5 stars

What about an alien race of mysterious beings with power far in advance of the jedis or the siths?
Or a rogue AI.
