Gotta agree with Rexy on this one. Unless they're refusing service to gays/atheists/non-christer religious folk, then there's really nothing to get upset about. Just as Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A are free to close their doors every Sunday, so Sonic is free to put christer tags on the bags. It's up to you whether to patronize them or not. Personally, I've never been a huge fan, especially with a Good Times within walking distance of the house when I'm in the mood for cheap, quick and relatively tasty burgers.

I don't go to Sonic regardless.  However, I could see me posting here about some ironically inappropriate verse I might find on the tab, and probably enjoying the hell out of doing so.

No, it really isn't cause for outrage.  Laughter perhaps, but not outrage.  Preaching in public is and should be legal, just like any other form of free speech.  There's no reason why a business can't preach.  However, it might get kind of fun should they hire a Jew, Muslim, Hindu, or atheist, who refuses to put the labels on for religious reasons.  I'd love to see the reasonabe accommodation suit.

Dammit.  But if those verses WERE from the Koran, the building would have been torched by now.  It's not right.  It's just not right.

Oh, those nutballs. That's about as far from Portland as you can get politically, and by distance in state. Geographically the state is largely conservative but in terms of voters, it leans liberal.
