Still struggling.
RE: Still struggling.
Scoobs. Time for a reboot. No more arsehole preacher... Cool.
See, it's never been about your beliefs ...we love CL and Kingy. It's about being respectful to other forum members and not pretend like you are "in the know" and are trying to save us from ourselves. That's what normal religious trolls do ...You're not one of them now, right? ...
No God, No fear.

GDog: Those thoughts must be horrible. I can totally relate, as I still have thoughts even now that I'm "useless and can't do anything". Clearly that is not the case, but I was indoctrinated to believe it as a child. As a 38 year old man, it still affects me. But I've managed to scale down the frequency of the thoughts and their effects on me, by concentrating on evidence rather than emotions.

They are, I can't find a peaceful day anywhere unless I sleep all day.

Whoever that was above said "face reality" I guess you also means the Harm and HOCD thoughts? Guess that means I should "face up to reality" and go shoot up a school and have sex outside my orientation.

No, wait, thats a fucking awful idea! It's only pertaining to reality when its your set of beliefs, now fuck off man.
-EDIT- it was popsthebuilder

GD, considering the overwhelming obstacles you have in front of you, you are holding your shit together...
You are one tough cookie and don't ever let any bastard control your thoughts. It's the only true freedom we can ever have.

I'll try my best, but usually things people say get to me later on, when I am listening to music or just chilling out the thought pops back up and I obsess over it.

I am always faced with the thought that i may crumble back into religious dogma. I don't wish too, but it is now a thought that dominates. I have grown more skeptical, but this doubt will plague me until I can get my appointment scheduled and get some stronger meds. But mom still hasn't scheduled my appointment.

Mom just bought me a book... Case for Christ, just out of nowhere.

I don't even plan on reading it considering she won't plan my fucking appointment.

Your mother's behaviour makes me sick. I hope there is someone neutral you can go to, because in my opinion this is a clear case of child abuse.

Here is a video series for your mother, Steve Shives ripping that stupid book to pieces.

Perhaps you should call your therapist directly and explain what's going on?

Steve Shives does a heroic job reading Christian apologetics books, then refuting them point by point.

He has much more patience for bull shit than I could ever have.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
