Thank you for your awesome and kind words pooley
I actually have pictures posted on a website that salons access when they're looking for new hires. I quite an extensive portfolio of work done during student exchanges and work done on my manniquins. I'll upload some of the pics and post them here.

The night floor instructor (senior teacher) stated that she'd be concerned if a student came to her with too much confidence and wasn't nervous. While I'm not terrified, yes, the anxiety is running a tad high - especially with cuts. If you get a hair cut wrong, it's difficult to fix. Fortunately the clients that come in full well know that students work on their hair so they generally know what to expect. 95% of the time, things are good. The instructor goes over student-client consultations prior to service and then checks the students work at each stage in the service to make sure the student is following procedures and what the client wants. I was a client there myself until I decided to become a student.
Knowing I have four family members I'll be working on is a huge relief. I've also asked several local friends to come in as I need live bodies. We'll see how trustworthy they are

Thats really inspiring.
I really need to get back into education soon. Geneticist seems like such a distant goal though, I think about it alot.
How would the world react to my black market experiments to create chimp/eagle hybrids that tear my enemies into bloody screaming shreds?
Oh to wonder. To wonder is to go mad with envy at the me that could of been and still might be.

You're a dick.
When isn't he? I'd report his comment for flaming, but staff already knows about his bs, so no use in creating another thread for them to have to review.

For younger people there is so much that is new to them in this phase of their lives. For us, it is pretty cut and dry what we are there for. I was like you in my first semester at Cal I got all A's. I was so hard on myself. I insisted that all papers be done a week in advance where possible so that I could reread them myself after a few days and still have time to revise. After that I relaxed a little .. but only a little.
Also glad to hear you have a good relationship with your stepson's mom. It is really important for the kids.
And if you haven't already put EP on ignore, I suggest you do so.
Mark,
Yes, these kids these days are used to that whole instant gratification thing. They can google or bing something and get an answer within 00000.02 seconds whereas if we wanted to know something it was either go to the library and look it up or if we were lucky, our parents invested in hundreds of dollars for an entire set of Encyclopedia Britannica.
I didn't have a cell phone or a computer in the 80's and was a visual learner. I use Quizlet a LOT and wish I had that when I was in school.
With my stepsons, their mother is totally supportive and even told me to let her know when graduation was so that the boys could be there. I truly appreciate that woman.
As for EP, ignore doesn't work. Especially when his ignorance is quoted and I end up seeing it anyways.
I suppose eventually the staff will tire of his bs and give him a permanent vacation since his last one didn't seem to do any good.

So when are you coming out to let me do your nails or give you a facial?

Maybe if the hair is already long enough, I can braid it lol.

Madam, for you I shall attempt to do so. I shall endeavor to capture the very essence of that most majestic of mythical creatures and in doing so make the gods themselves hang their heads in shame and envy. Their fire shall be stolen once more.

Congrats Nymph/Judi.
I'm sure you'll be fine. If your not nervous then there is something wrong. Just try not to be this guy!
