The followers of Arian for example, pretty powerful in the early stages of christianity, never accepted Jesus as god.

It's only when the high and mighties realized that they had a form of politheism, whoops, entrance of the trinity.

Yes. There is no one sentence in the bible that states that God is one, but consists of three separate persons.  The doctrine of the trinity was formulated by compiling statements from the bible as a whole.

In other words, it's an attempt to cover contradictions in different parts of the bible. In some parts he acts like a separate being but in other parts he states or implies that he is god. Since it all has to be true, that means he both is and isn't multiple people.

That's the most sensible thing you've ever written AFAIK - but not.for the reason you might think.

It's just infantile, convoluted, meaningless bullsh*t, used by weak-minded people to confuse each other, so that they don't have to face the realization, that they've been kidding themselves and they don't really know anything about anything.

It was totally idiotic of god to not give Adam a sense of right and wrong then expect the man to  chose between right and wrong. Your efforts to paint such idiocy as superior wisdom isn't convincing at all.

Free will? So you would put a baby in a room with a shiny red button and tell him not to press the button, then go and come back doing damage control  after the world blows up, talking about you didn't force the baby to push the button?
Since Adam screwed everything up I hope his ass is in Islamic hell.

Don't you ever read your favorite ethnocentric Middle Eastern Jewish religious fairy tale?

As it says in 1 John 5:6-8 (WYC) ="6 This is Jesus Christ, that came by water and blood; not in water only, but in water and blood. And the Spirit is he that witnesseth, that Christ is [the] truth.
7 For three be, that give witnessing in heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost [For three be, that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, or Son, and the Holy Ghost]; and these three be one.
8 And three be, that give witnessing in earth, the Spirit, water, and blood; and these three be one."

It's off to the lake of fire for you.

What is with you guys quoting every random version of the bible except the KJV?

There is an error in the 8th verse; the water, blood, and spirit ARE NOT ONE, they AGREE IN ONE.
Quote:1 John 5 (KJV)
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

If you knew anything about Judaism you'd know that they believe in only one God, that means the Jews of the new testament would have never accepted a gospel talking about essentially 3 Gods, and to do so would make them guilty of the first commandment: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me".

A Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are not separate personalities, they are separate roles/titles. One can be BOTH a father AND son.

Therefore: God above us = Father
                 God with us = Son
God in us = Holy spirit

The Bible tells you plainly in the above scripture that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are one.

Jesus Christ IS God, that all there is to it.
Quote:John (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Quote:John (KJV)
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Didn't Jesus tell the disciple to baptize in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost?
Quote:Matthew 28 (KJV)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
So in what name did the disciples baptize?
Quote:Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
So that makes Jesus Christ the NAME of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Also that bible clearly states that in Jesus Christ was the FULLNESS of the Godhead (deity); meaning he is all of it.
Quote:Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

First you claim the trinity is a lie and then you cite passages that say that the trinity is true.

So is it true or is it a lie?

The trinity described as 3 separate personalities is false I don't think I could have made it any clearer.

Are you married? do you have kids? If so, does being a son/husband/father make you a crazy schizo?
