Home remedy medical failure.

Home remedy medical failure.
In this story the kid died from lack of appropriate medical attention. I doubt it has little to do with anti-vaccination and more to do with holistic self empowered ignorance. Read the Facebook page from the link. Appears that they are in total denial.

Yep, treating meningitis with maple syrup is what God wants you to do.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'm not sure about god. I see them more like new age witches. Eye of newt, pinch of bat wing, essence of toadstool, ........... Hold the phone, that's homeopathy. There should be no reason for a failure. OK, god.

Edit: Love the killed the kid/give us money angle.

I've said this much before in similar threads but in the UK, this is criminal negligence with penalties similar to manslaughter. This case seems to be open & shut; I'd put them away for the maximum term.

The latitude of many US states' legislation to allow willful ignorance at the expense of the lives of children never ceases to amaze and outrage me in equal measure.

Here's an article in Naturopathic Diaries, a blog written by an ex-Naturopathic Doctor, about this case.

This article's pretty informative about what was going on in this particular case, as well as the broader policy concerns and issues surrounding naturopathy.

Don't worry, my friend.  If this be the end, then so shall it be.

And remember, folks, that the next time you need surgery, you can have it done by an unemployed hippy with a butter knife, tweezers, and a bath full of ice.

Based upon news reports the worse hospital in the US is better than the best hospital in England.
