God became a man, to show us the way by being a sinless human. He became such a man that he begged himself not to force himself to let himself be murdered so a plan made by himself (to allow humans to be forgiven--by him--of sins, which he made up himself) could go forth. He then asked why he had forsaken himself, as he was being murdered.

Yeah. Sounds like a god. Nope! Sounds like a regular old apocalyptic preacher killed by the Romans to keep the peace, and turned into a legend by his followers. You just can't see that because you're still in the cult.

I would think you would be more concerned as to why God has blind you to the reality of Christ.

If you love your imaginary frind so much why did you just call him a prick?

I didn't, I'm responding to your lack of understanding of the scriptures. "The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts (literally "things") of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned" (1 Cor. 2:14) and 2 Cor.3:14-16; 4:3, 6; Heb. 5:14; James 1:5-6; 2 Peter 3:5; John 17:7; 8:43. That's a few reasons why I know you don't know. Sin gets in the way of all people to understand, but the Christian is forgiven and when they seek Gods guidance through scripture they will be guided to understanding, 1 Cor. 2:14; 1:18-25; James 1:5-6; 22-25.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

Quote:Genesis 2 is not a retelling, of G1. Genesis 2 is a garden specific account. Meaning man made in the image of God happened in the garden on Day 3 and everything else Genesis 1 talks about is in a correct order but happened outside the garden, on the day Genesis 1 records.
OK, so while Adam & Eve were running around naked in the Garden of Eden, what do you think the people in Arabia, Ethiopia, Assyria, and Persia were doing?

They were all just monkey men, eh Drich? Wink
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

A man died, he was also God but without His powers. Christ laid down his powers in heaven to become a man capable of sin. If Christ had come with his powers He would not have been able to sin, this is very important to understand, if you don't you'll never be able to understand why He was the perfect man (sinless) who sacrificed his life for mankind. See what happens when you refuse to study the scriptures and find out what they actually say, you make your own version of the story, a version that's little more than a lie.

According to the Bible you're going to be tossed into the lake of fire for bitching about my interpretation of your favorite ethnocentric Middle Eastern Jewish religious fairy tale.

You did, by accusing him of the deliberately prickish act of intentionally blinding others to him. So yeah, GC believes his imaginary friend is a prick.

Oh, and thanks for at least having the decency of not going the idiotic route of trying to prove the voice in your head is not your imagination, GC. It seems that you may be learning something after all, viz not ot argue a point with those who know more on the subject than you do.

I am here only to share the truth.

Not sure if this has been asked, but my question is as follows:

Do feel you at all condescending to those that don't know "the truth" by so confidently stating that you do? OR is that not even a problem since whatever they feel is by your premise "the false", since you know "the truth"?

Jesus is like Pinocchio.  He's the bastard son of a carpenter. And a liar. And he wishes he was real.
