Buy fewer shoes. Problem solved!
So, stereotypes are alive and well in Woowooland?
If we're going to make stereotype comments, the men could be by on the same wages as the women if they stopped buying and watching porn.

It's called "earnings gap" and it has nothing to do with discrimination based on gender, this is a fact,I'm not making this up.

If you are genuinely interested in the topic, give this article a read, http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/harvar...le/2580405
It's by a Harvard professor Claudia Goldin, who happens to be a woman.

Please, for the love of God don't fall for one of those articles again.

Men earning more than women in 439 out of 446 American jobs is an interesting statistic, Pool.  And it is caused by a multitude of factors, it's not only gender discrimination.  I will go read your posted article, but I have witnessed discrimination and inequality personally.  So neither of us can say that the other side is putting out false propaganda for their own purposes - what is needed is an unbiased look at ALL the factors, and ways for both sides to come together to find a way to alter this 439 out of 446 result into something more equitable.

I'm genuinely curious about the experience you had. Can you please share?

Way to pick a non-biased source, pool. The Washington Examiner?? Seriously?

I don't follow them much, so I can't comment on whether they are biased or not, but I think I can pretty confidently say that the Harvard institution is not biased.
There are literally hundreds of articles debunking the myth that is wage gap, just google for "why wage gap is a myth" or "wage gap debunked" you're bound to get hundreds of articles. These articles will most likely be created on the grounds of analysis of well known economists, not feminists blogs.

I saw an article containing comments from one Harvard professor... not Harvard.

Meh, no evidence can make you drop that victim complex unless you really want to.
Wage gap is so outdated and debunked only people that have done zero unbiased research on the subject believes it,economists doesn't even consider it a real problem anymore.
Riddle me this, wouldn't you think that if women could actually be made to do the same amount of work for less money that there would be companies filled with majority of female employees?

No, partly because it's not necessarily conscious discrimination.

No... one economist who decided to be published in an extremely right-wing blog, almost on-par with Fox News, doesn't consider it a problem anymore. Give me more, and I will consider it.

Riddle me this: do you ever think beyond your cognitive bias?

Not to sound like pool, but an earnings gap and a wage gap are not the same thing. Yes, discrimination occurs, and yes some people get away with it, but I have yet to see any convincing evidence that sexual wage discrimination is still a systemic problem in Western society, or that it is a major contributor to the earnings gap.
Verbatim from the mouth of Jesus (retranslated from a retranslation of a copy of a copy):

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you too will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. How can you see your brother's head up his ass when your own vision is darkened by your head being even further up your ass? How can you say to your brother, 'Get your head out of your ass,' when all the time your head is up your own ass? You hypocrite! First take your head out of your own ass, and then you will see clearly who has his head up his ass and who doesn't." Matthew 7:1-5 (also Luke 6: 41-42)
