I think priests found an answer to masturbation ... children can't do it for themselves so they do it for them Sad
Religion is the top shelf of the supernatural supermarket ... Madog

I don't "feel" anything, there's evidence that it's a fact.

Not only sexual repression but sexual aggression as well. Most religions promote women as man's property, to do with as he pleases. As long as religion rules the early lives of children, people seeing women as equal or as respected human beings as men will not happen. We will have sexual repression/sexual aggression as a main theme in their education as the control mechanism.

Their religions rely on this to continue in order to thrive. They cannot exist without it. Promoting a controller and a controlled is all they have.

Technically there could be religions out there that promote wild unrestrained sex.

If you're talking about the mainstream religions the way they're practised today then I think the evidence points overwhelmingly to sexual repression being created by religion.

Now this isn't necessarily negative for everyone.

The spectrum of negative to positive outcomes is there. On the one hand it's good to not have sex with whoever you want whenever you want. I think evidence supports the idea that children are better off being raised in a two parent household which is pretty much the idea behind marriage which has been supported by the mainstream religions.
On the other hand evidence supports the idea that homosexuals are born that way biologically and threatening to throw them off roof tops or hang them as they do in Islamic countries is barbaric, stupid, pointless.
The child abuse of girls involving cutting off their clitoris, mainly an Islamic thing again, is probably the most extreme form of sexual repression and again is barbaric and violent, extremely negative for the children being abused and for the society they live in

I have to disagree with this. The only biological imperatives greater than the sex drive are the drives to eat and excrete. Now, imagine if a bunch of assholes in funny hats put a bunch of arbitrary taboos on eating like they have on sex.

Which bit are you disagreeing with?

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

Circumcision...the end.
If the hypothetical idea of an afterlife means more to you than the objectively true reality we all share, then you deserve no respect.

Upon re-reading what you posted, I'm not really sure... Nothing, it seems. Huh
