Don't know where you get the 50 injured from, since there aren't any reported injuries besides the suspected gunman, who didn't fire a single shot. He took hostages and the SEK, similar to SWATS teams, took him out.
Nobody says, things like that don't happen in Germany. This has been as unbloody as it comes, and is in no way comparable to Orlando. But there have been mass shootings, once in a blue moon. School shootings mostly, two or three maybe, over the stretch of 2 decades. Compare that number to the USA and come again about gun laws in Germany. Which aren't as strict as in the UK, which hasn't seen a mass shooting since Dunblane in 1996 and the ensuing legislation.
German police officers fired something like 90 shots in 2014 with two being fatal, if I'm not mistaken, since I'm taking this off the top of my head from last years reports. Again, try a comparison to the USA.

Bullsh*t. The gunman doesn't seem to have injured anyone. Reported injuries seem to be effects of tear gas, which doesn't really compare to a bullet wound, does it? I guess US needs better police...

The difference in death toll is most likely due to the motives of the gunmen rather than the performance of the police.
This more recent situation seems to have involved a gunman who was confused and tried to take hostages whereas the Muslim shooter wanted to kill lots of people in a nightclub.

That was the initial reports, but nobody was injured and only the hostage taker was killed. Things like this are a rare occurrence in Germany.

Doesn't seem like it. He was a muslim, so he was a muslim shooter, barring all other motifs. There's also an interesting piece of FBI profilers saying, he fits the profile of mass shooter pretty well, as opposed to terrorists. But no, he was muslim, so he was muslim shooter.
I'm posting this with a very big caveat, since the guy may just be an attention seeker. But he claims to have been the lover of the shooter.

Yea there's another part of history gun worshipers ignore.
After WW1 the allies put heavy gun regulations on Germany. It was actually Hitler who opened gun ownership up, but only to party loyalists and nationalists.
And we have already seen the hypocrisy of a few gun shops, while saying gun rights are for all citizens, who have put signs on their doors saying they refuse to sell to democrats. Funny, but the 2nd Amendment doesn't place a party or religious oath on owning a firearm.
Not to mention "well regulated militia" was about a national guard, not idiots who want to pretend they are John Wayne.

Which is pretty far removed from reality. The regulations the allies enforced didn't cover handguns. Between the wars, especially during the first five years, pretty much everyone was armed if they desired to carry.
