What's everyone up to right now?

I first saw him in 'Spaced' which I now own the DVD set of because it was so awesome.
He's great, I've seen every movie he's in, but to me, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are a team.
I love my English comedy.
Including Black Books, The Mighty Boosh, Catherine Tate, Little Britain and The IT Crowd, which I also own the DVD sets. :-)

When I grew up, men just generally didn't learn to cook. When my ex-wife and I split eight years ago, I would have starved if it weren't for take-out and delivery. Even before then I probably ate two thirds of my meals in restaurants.

I like good food, I just never learned how to make it (Kitty will say otherwise, but that's only because she's only eaten the three or four things I actually know how to cook).

One of the things my father instilled in me from the time I was young was the love of cooking. I've been cooking since I was very young.

I totally understand though. The hosts of the podcast I mentioned earlier (Keith and The Girl---highly recommended if you like comedy/comedians) talk about it when they are doing the ad. Neither of them ever cooked before in their lives aside from Grilled Cheese and boxed foods---no proper meals from scratch. For people in that bracket and for people who don't know how/when to shop for certain foods---it is a great service.

I actually really like this new niche industry of monthly "boxes" of stuff. Loot Crate, Five-Seven, Blue Apron. It's pretty cool. I even do NatureBox, the healthy snack service---lots of nuts and dried fruit.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I wish I could do a food service. I have allergies to all nuts. Peanut dust alone can kill me. I will never be able to eat at a Texas Roadhouse, let alone walk into one. My allergies are that severe.

There are several products at school I am not allowed to touch simply because they have either almond, coconut or walnut in them.

While those things won't out right kill me, I did accidentally touch some hair products with coconut oil and my hands turned red, swelled up and got itchy. Good thing I keep an Epi pen at school.

Most of those food services can accommodate an individual's allergies and dietary requirements.

Yeah, but can you trust them though? I'm sure they have systems in place but they wouldn't change premises.
Imagine walking into a seafood restaurant and telling the waiter you're allergic to seafood so you'll just have the steak. It's risky.

I was just going by what their site says. You're probably right.

Best to avoid them, I guess. Smile

K, I'm on the other side. It's the same world I left behind, only different. I think I'm floating above a city at night, it's really beautiful. I can think myself anywhere and I just teleport there. I can also somehow post on this forum with my mind.

Just looked at my education portal for school. I have 475.50 hours left before graduation. That's a little over 6 months to go.
