As everyone who follows polls already knows, Rasmussen is right-leaning and can't predict an election, at least a recent one:

And, so, when Rasmussen shows Trump being down, he is basically screwed, unless Hillary dies of a heart attack or Bill gets caught with his pants off (not down), or both.

By the way, this thread is intended only to be about polling (if it lasts) for Trump's odds and not Trump, in particular. At this point I don't think that he has a "snowball's chance", and would rate his chances as being in the single digits.

If Mrs. Clinton died of a heart attack and Bill Clinton got caught again, Mrs. Clinton would still beat Trump in the election.
Funny how Grump bragged endlessly about the polls before he started pissing all over himself this week.

Good point. But, Trump has had some success in business, and so, he must understand marketing and market research; as such, he has to at least appreciate the results of polling, which is just a broad survey of a random section of the population. Plus, the Republicans (Democrats, too) also conduct their own private polling, which helps direct the candidates to the issues and where to campaign so as to have the best chance of winning the Electoral College vote, which, of course, is the real vote, and not the one that occurs in November.
Surely, Trump knows this, even though his speaking/writing has been measured to be at the 4th grade level, unlike most candidates (and, newspapers) which write at the 8th grade level.

This is bad news for Trump.
Basically, this is the same as the Democrats for Nixon movement in 1972 but in reverse. A significant number of Republicans (including former cabinet members) are coming out in support of Hillary Clinton. Not all Republicans are insane and immoral. Some of them recognize what Trump is, swallow their personal wishes and do what any sane patriot would do - support Hillary.
I salute them. Their heart is in the right place even if their head isn't.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

He doesn't command the loyalties of those organs which would be needed to carry one out successfully.

Well now he is insulting the Japanese. Apparently, he doesn't want us to have any allies at all.
