You're always in my thoughts and I wish I could take it all on board and suffer it for you or with you. It's hell seeing so much suffering and being powerless to help. Love you guys Heart *hugs*

I'll take empathy over prayers any day, myself.

I'll take prayer; well the thought behind it anyway... to the extent that it expresses empathy or sympathy, but there is no substitute for real, deep, empathy. Sadly and frustratingly it can't go all the way... directly bridging the gulf between two consciousnesses, even if we had exactly the same experiences... but it can still go a long way. To feel heard and understood, or to hear someone say 'I've been there' or 'I am there', is perhaps, in the absence of that direct link, the best and most valuable gift we can give or receive in this life; the gift of feeling like you're not alone, if only indirectly, and the strength you can draw from that, again if only indirectly. It's been a long time since I've felt anything other than alone... a long time since I've had any kind of counselling or a deep and trusted friend who understands everything I'm going through... so I'd almost forgotten what that was like... so thanks for reminding me that it's 'out there' Smile

Absolutely exhausted today. Got no motivation whatsoever.

I hate days like this Sad

I'll be in Barcelona in 48 hours though and I'll be high off the atmosphere of being there.

C'mere, girl, I'll rub those feet. Might even hunt up some leftover Mexican.

Yum.

Anyway, how am I feeling? I am feeling the absence of a lack of mental negativity which takes the form of a presence of physiological serenity in my chest.

It's quite beatific, tbh.

Bait? What bait?
I was just talking about snakes.

You know I feel about those things; they give me the willies.
