[EDIT] You can also point out the fallacy of affirming the consequent in his "proof". He really likes that one.

The same BS that every fanatic tries to use to 'prove' how real their god is. How sad.

I wish people would realize that if you want to believe in fairy tales, it's best to just keep them to yourself.

Agreed, although this one is too much fun.

It's nice to see a fresh face join the party and put the screws to the OP. It's been ~50 pages of crazy, so it's nice to be able to kick back and just pop off jokes for a while.

Haha glad I could help.

I would honestly debate with theists more if their arguments weren't exactly the same all the time. Although I suppose theists could say the same about arguments from atheists.

But it's always interesting to me when theists present some point as if they just invented fire and then go, "PROVE ME WRONG!"
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.

It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.

Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Dear Operator, I welcome you to my thread here, you are a fresh draft of air, thanks for your presence and contribution; please do not leave me.

While I am waiting for Simon Moon to show up, I will chat with you.

You are asking, "So then who created god?

This is my proof for God existing.

   1. Formulate the information of the concept of God, thus:
"God in concept is first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning."

   5. We find that the first and ultimate cause of all instances of causation in reality corresponds to our information on the concept of God, namely, the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

   6. Conclusion: God exists in concept as first and foremost the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

What do you think about my proof for the existence of God?

So then who created god? [Bolding by Mariosep]

Dear Operator, read very carefully now.

First, I am not affirming at this point of my reply to your question, "So then who created god?," but just proposing or supposing or suggesting that God is in my concept a being that is not caused, but He exists from His own essence, meaning He is essentially a being that exists from Himself, by Himself, in Himself, through Himself without any causation whatsoever by other being or beings whatsover.

Keep in my what I just wrote, it is a supposition, a suggestion, a proposition, what I call a conceived thought in my mind, please do not, repeat: do not read it as any kind of affirmation.

You see, it is easy and very natural to say that someone is affirming the existence or the reality of something, when he is just voicing a suggestion, or a supposition, or a proposition, or an invitation to think of that something, all which are in conceptual thoughts in the mind of the speaker.

For if merely voicing out were already affirmation of something to exist or to be the reality in objective existence, then nobody would dare say anything at all, in order to not be pinned down already by socalled fallacies hunters to be already affirming the consequent [whatever that is] - which attitude is I submit very unreasonable altogether.

So, dear Operator, when you continue in this thread and also contribute actively with thinking on truths, facts, logic, and with the assist of the history of ideas with mankind, you will eventually come to my proof that God is (watch out, don't jump up now and shout "affirming the consequent, affirming the consequent, affirming the consequent...") a being that exists from itself, by itself, through itself, in itself (watch out, don't jump up now and shout "affirming the consequent, affirming the consequent, affirming the consequent...").

Dear atheist colleague Ham, thanks for your presence and contribution to my thread, and your not abandoning threads.

Here, read this from the obituary on Bertrand Russell in the New York Times [excerpt]:

Quote:http://www.nytimes.com/books/01/04/29/sp...-obit.html

Governed by 3 Passions

"Three passions, simple but strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind."

In those words Bertrand Arthur William Russell, the third Earl Russell, described the motive forces of his extraordinarily long, provocative and complex life. But only one yearning, that for love, was fully [bolding from Mariosep] satisfied, he said, and only when he was 80 and married his fourth wife, Edith Finch, then a 52-year-old American.

-.-

Thanks oh ye atheist colleagues here, for your presence and contribution in this my thread.

If I may, please leave out the sh** and fu** and also all such un-academic unseemly utterances.

And I will allow myself a small kindness: Atheists don't have the last word, no matter how they love to behave as to project that they have truths, facts, logic, and the history of ideas on their side - quite the contrary: the way I observe them, they are always into evading the issue itself, God exists or not, by beating about the bush, like describing themselves as just not having any acceptance of God, Gods, gods, goddesses, divinities, deities... when they can just focus on the most ambitious concept of God, namely, in concept God is the creator and operator of the universe and man and everything with a beginning.

Now, back to my wait for Simon Moon to show up.

And please, think about this request from me: Do bring up your information of the concept of God, otherwise how can you deny something to exist. if you do not have even just the information of the concept of what you are denying to exist?

And please, abstain from bringing up the flying spaghetti monster, or Russell's (the one who set the trend) teapot orbiting in space, no matter you tell mankind that you are just into communicating the idea that God in concept is not acceptable to you, or as with Russell you are in fact censoring your mind from even just the thought of the concept of God, that is not legitimate - not legitimate a favorite catchphrase of Russell in his debate with Fr. Copleston, S.J.

So, there, oh ye atheist colleagues, you have your evasion tactic all mapped, everytime you strive to refute God's existence.

Later.

Fuck off, Mariosep. I don't actually have to disprove your god -- I merely have to be unconvinced.

I am unconvinced.

Your "concept of god" is just words on a page and nothing more. It points to nothing real and nothing of value, and is simply not worth taking seriously.

So... you still haven't answered my question. Stop with the convoluted nonsense and follow through with your idea. Who created god?
