Trump on 60 Minutes

I also take a dim view of 'line jumpers' and to date, I have NEVER heard a convincing rationale for allowing it in regards to immigration.
If there is a clear and logical basis for allowing it, I'd really like to see it. On one side of the family, they came through Ellis Island, with the clear understanding, they might be sent back. (LOL, found out a few years ago there is family lore on the continent that those émigrés were lost at sea or died of cholera as none of them ever wrote back to let them know what happened) Other side of the family we go back in the genealogy to the Revolutionary War, but can't get past that time so don't know how they got here. I'd like to think a ship load of convicts was dumped to survive or not by their own wits and I'm a descendant of that bunch, but Idunno. It would explain some things . . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

You also came from a safe environment. For those people living in areas ravaged by cartels or third-world poverty, they don't exactly have the luxury of waiting around until the U.S. government gets done with its paperwork. Look at Venezuela right now. I'm certainly not going to call anyone that flees from these situations a criminal and send them away because they couldn't go through the proper channels. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." Not to mention that many of these immigrants perform back-breaking labor that no one else will do. We'd find ourselves in a conundrum if we just deported them all.

If they are families that have children and have been here for a long time, I'd say let them stay. If it's some dude who just trespassed the border here recently, I'd say take him back. If he really wants to come, there's a legal way of doing it. Dripshit, most times I can't figure out if you are an idiot or just a fucking liar. I can't rule out both. Listen to your fucking fascist hero and then let us see you twist his words so you can save your ass. https://youtu.be/3sAHcFpJYZM (November 14, 2016 at 6:25 pm)Neo-Scholastic Wrote: You must have missed my earlier post. No worries. I read and listen across the political spectrum. That's about all anyone can do, right? Sorry, I must have missed it. Sure, but it depends on how you do it. I've met people that think that flipping on MSNBC for a few minutes means looking at both sides.

There's gotta be a line drawn somewhere though. Every country has borders and every country protects its borders. We can't let everyone just walk right in here willy nilly. If over population is a thing world wide, I don't see why it isn't a thing for countries individually.

Unless you think we should deport -them- because it took -you- alot of time and money, your personal experience isn't actually relevant. I'm sorry your sympathizers busted, while we're at it, lol. For starters, maybe because our economy depends on them, right down to food production infrastructure and home building? Secondly, because without them we are below replacement rate. Thirdly, because they enrich our very culture. Finally, because we're not a bunch of racist shitlords who think that getting rid of brown people will make it magically better for us?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Protecting our borders and deporting people who came here illegally is not racist. Why make it illegal then, if we're not going to enforce it at all? Should we just let anyone walk right in at their whim? I understand having compassion, but come on. Be reasonable, folks.
