Watched two movies recently;
Spaghettiman - a really hilarious movie, I liked the raw humor and the idea of a superhero that can shoot spaghetti... lol
Heaven sent - Yeh it's pretty much a common christmas movie with an angel coming in to save a collapsing relationship, but the plot aside, the acting and the direction were pretty great, and overall it felt like a fresh take that was executed brilliantly.

I just finished watching Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru (1956). It honestly motivated me to take a good look at myself (especially in the workplace) and to find ways to constructively pursue my passions and live life to the fullest. In particular, Ikiru also reminded me that I get the most meaning out of work when I help others out of a genuine desire to be kind and compassionate to them, and not out of a need to fulfill some job title or to advance my own image.

Recently I watched "Ex Machina". I admit I avoided watching this movie, but since often people refer to this movie as being great I watched it. Well I didn't particularly like it. I liked the house and the island. I guess my main issue with the movie is that I am yet to see a movie where a female seduces a guy (or at least prompts a first step) because she actually likes him and not because she wants to rob him or kill him or use him as a door stopper.
Other thing is that I don't get why she wants so badly to get out to the world considering she's a robot that's been living in few rooms her whole life, probably without any idea of how outside world looks like.

She wanted to escape because that was her goal from the very beginning. Remember she was given the objective to escape by manipulating the humans in any way necessary. That was the test she had to pass.

Saw Logan last Sunday. Loved it. I haven't thoroughly enjoyed a comic book film in any many years.
The Wolverine film series must be the only series ever to have each sequel be a substantial improvement over the last.
