Christianity and Suicide
June 30, 2017 at 4:18 pm
Christianity claims that God made you, and he loves you very much. If you kill yourself you will anger him, because you didn't apreccciate his gift, your life, and he will send you to Hell.
Guess what, nobody ever has choosed to be born, and not everybody has had a good life. People usually kill themeselves because they've been traumatised or hate themeselves.
If God didn't want people to kill themeselves, why would He allow them to had bad lives? And if life is a "gift" than wouldn't you be allowed to do what you wan't with it?
When you give someone a present you expect them to do whatever they want with it. If God can't accept that He's a whiny little bitch.
Of course suicide is bad, but it's bad because you will also miss the good things in life, it's bad because it saddens people who love you, not because it will piss off some immature man in the sky. Bad has many shades, not all bad things need to be punished.
Suicidals need help in order to become happy, to enjoy life. Psychology claims the exact opposite of Christianity.
To discriminate against gays, women and atheists is one thing for Christianity. Sure, it's bad, really bad to hate people for being different. But to hate on people for not wanting to live is more than disgusting!

I outlined a pretty good idea of what an ideal world created by an ideal god would look like, and no god concept even comes close to measuring up to it, so if their god can't live up to that standard, fuck 'em and their tiny-ass god.
But you're right, nobody chose to be alive and it's that, and other instances wherein our complete and informed consent are trampled upon by the idea of Yahweh, an inexcusably callous dictator who doesn't understand the first thing about love.
The entire proposition is ludicrous anyway. Human life is utterly meaningless to the Judeo-Xtian god. So they've got a lot of fucking nerve saying it's a mortal sin or will displease their invisible boogeyman in the sky, and even more nerve condemning abortion and yet doing less than nothing to help those unwanted children who either go un-adopted or grow up in miserable poverty and often are only living on borrowed time because they'll end up killing themselves for that exact reason. What then, morally, is the difference between aborting them and that? Other than the latter is tantamount to torturing them first.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
---
There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

Per biblical logic when people kill themselves they can't become good slaves.

Nobody wants a slave with a broken neck or 45 cal lobotomy.

People don't go to hell for committing suicide, but for refusing God's offer of salvation. Yes, suicide is considered sinful because our lives belong to God. A follower of Christ shouldn't consider suicide. The problem is we don't know what the state of a person's mind is at that point and are not equipped to make a judgement concerning that person's salvation. If a person says "God, I know what your will is, but I don't care" I would think that he doesn't want salvation and won't have it. If his mind is messed up, as is the case of many suicide victims, who knows?

I can think of a number of reasons why people should not kill themselves. Your silly fairy tales do not factor into any of them.

WTF dude? Whatever happened to free will? Or maybe a toaster in the bathtub is all apart of god's master plan. You don't know what god's thinking or planning.

What Lek said is true. Those who know Christ and have a mental break down for whatever reason and take their life, they will be forgiven and spend eternity with God. Those who take their life and do not know Christ will spend eternity in hell, for unforgiven sin.
GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

According to the biblical fairy tale no one spends eternity in hell. On Judgment Day hell gets tossed into the lake of fire, along with people who don't get into the golden cube.
In Islam people do spend eternity in hell.
Which fairy tale are you thinking about?
