Is there a way to disable private messages?

I tried to uncheck the box for receiving private messages, then save the changes, and it goes back to checking the box.  Huh Is there a way to disable this feature?

Maybe if you put them on ignore, their PMs will also stop? Not sure though.

Not that I'm aware of.

But you can disable annoying people who send you pms by breaking theirs knees and elbows.

Just saying...

If you don't want a specific person to pm you, you can put them on ignore. If you don't want anyone but staff to be able to pm you, use the following steps:

Thanks Losty, I tried to uncheck the box but when you go to save the change, it checks the box again. lol It's not a big deal, just wondered.
