Why is religion in the business of moral policing?

RE: Why is religion in the business of moral policing?
Maybe authoritarian minded people like to forbid others what their overlords forbid them?
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.

Actually her's are the good kinda, perky with the slightest upturn.

actually I would have stopped a relationship in my younger days if "things" weren't "perfect." You can ask her I dated some really smoking hot chickies in my time. That was due in large art to really young exposure to porn.

Not at all even in your examples of bible porn its always between man and wife. it's not the sexual acts or the the feelings or even how perverse one can be. it's about gowing that way together about not allowing an alien sexual influence in the marriage bedroom.

Quote:Heres some bible porn.

Quote:Seems like "god" beat Hustler to it..........if it's too artsy, they're going at each other in broad daylight in a field, oral, handies, hard driving - and he pulls out and give her a money shot to the grill (or he gives him..bit of ambiguity there, seeing as how it's a copied version of Babylonian gay pron bar poem) - the whole gamut.  It's a one stop smut shop
It's not what is in porn that is bad. it is not developing those appetites along side your wife. that you seek them outside the marriage that is the problem.

I've often said and believed (as per James dobson of all men) there is nothing forbidden sexually in the marriage bedroom between a man and his wife.

If you've committed it in your head or your heart, you've committed it in deed. Thoughtcrime: It's a bitch.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

None of that makes porn bad, it just makes you shallow, lol.

Sure, it's between lovers - and the voyeur watching through the narrative.  That's exactly what porn is.  You porn aversion is cultural, not biblical.

Like those lovers sought them?  They weren't married.....

You don't know where you end and the bible begins, do you?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Well if you're fucking out of wedlock then you are more likely to end up with unclaimed bastards, and there's nothing quite so effective at ensuring the next generation grows up brainwashed than having two stuck-together brainwashed parents, so of course that's something they'd want to crack down on. I mean, look at freakin' Mormons.

In my younger days I went with prostitutes for a while but never liked it so I gave it up because it was so loveless and soulless, like trying to make love to a sack of potatoes, yuk..Smile

That's right, you cannot, because it doesn't exist. I've just looked back over this thread and no, I didn't throw "the first punch". Nice to know that your faith doesn't keep you from being a little cunt who will deploy the occasional lie rather than own his own behavior.
Fuck off and die.

Here's what you said in post #22 about abortion mate-
"...anyone seeking to outlaw it is trying to control what they think is the morality of others, rather than paying attention to their own. In the words of many of the same opponents, it's "virtue-signalling".

See, because I'm anti-abortion you threw a flurry of punches at me (and other anti-abortionists) suggesting wer're trying to control others and that I was "virtue signalling".
In other words, you called me out, so I called you out..Smile

Godseddso. . . . .

Which bible verses say that mate? we need to look at them in context..Smile

If that's what you call punches, I'd suggest growing some thicker skin before you come back here. Thump gave his opinion, nothing more.
