We wouldn't strike North Korea unless they actually landed a bang stick on ally land.
I was stationed in South Korea for several months. There's enough scud type missles that'd be slung over the boarder into Seoul within the first few minutes of any strike that would take out several thousand South Koreans at least. China would get pretty pissed off too.
Not gonna happen. Good opportunity for more rhetoric though.

I'm reminded of an article I read about why dictator's bridges collapse. Engineering "leadership" done by fiat is always going to fail. I remember an IG coming through one place I used to work at, and the number of millions said employer got shaved for was impressive, to say the least. All that would have had to happen was not let one little man (in the figurative sense) ramrod the design through, all the way to a very expensive equipment failure.

Word is Trump has a couple of babysitters to make sure he isn't left alone to make some end-of-homo-Sapiens decision. I certainly hope that's the case.

Also, I can't help but wonder if Jong-un is jealous of the attention we Americans are giving Hurricane Harvey at the moment...kids tend to cause a ruckus if they want attention from the grownups.
